I have been with Sabouni for 2 years and have only seen him 3 times. His assistant practitioner always sees me and she rushes me out the door as quickly as possible while prescribing medication after medication. Sabouni and his assistant have poor communication about patient treatment plans, my last visit I got scolded about how I take my medication once a day rather than twice a day and so forth, when that's how Sabouni prescribed it and how the medication bottle instructions read. Sabouni also told me I am maxed out on one of my medications and have been for a year, his assistant told me this isn't true and upped the dosage anyway.
While Sabouni seems knowledgeable, I never see him. I have only seen him for botox appointments. Which I recently quit, so I am no longer seeing him again.
His office is impossible to get ahold of. I try to call and make / reschedule an appointment, and it will go to voicemail. I will call periodically throughout the day and it will usually take me 3 days to reach someone.
Overall, I have gotten no migraine relief from using Sabouni and I have only found myself maxed out on a laundry list of medication.

Very good Dr. He was my Dr when I had my stroke. He found out what had happened when other doctors couldn’t figure it out. Highly knowledgeable , caring and personable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sabouni

Waited weeks for call backs even after leaving several messages, Dr. doesn't listen to what I tell him, goes off on other minor issues and starts just writing prescriptions. Also only saw him one time, other times saw practitioner, and they cancelled and changed my appointments multiple times. I gave him a chance to see if he could work out my migraine issues, but I've only traded one symptoms for others. Looking for a new doctor and staff.

Dr. Sabouni is most likely too busy to see you. I have been a (Multiple Sclerosis) patient for a little over a year with him and I keep having problems with my pharmacy getting the so-called "Pre-Authorization" from the insurance company to continue delivering Betaseron. The pharmacy calls insurance company who then calls the doctor office and they ignore the calls. Too busy. Today, I had to go to his office to demonstrate that I did, indeed, have the same insurance that I had when I saw him last fall. Somehow, the office had my decided that my insurance company was different than the one I had 4 months ago! Still waiting for my medicine (missed only a few shots) but am looking for a more interested doctor.

Brilliant doctor, very professional. I read a negative post earlier. Dr. Sabouni is no-fluff guy. If you're looking for West Texas friendly, he's not your guy. He's wicked smart, so if your looking for an aggressive, above grade neurologist, this is your guy. He's young, he's up to date with new treatments and medications. My child has had seizures for 25 years. It is very trying to tailor medications and treatment for hard to treat seizures. Dr. Sabouni's attitude is different from my son's doctors in the past. Whereas others have said "this is about as good as it will get with your son", Dr. Sabouni is determined to incorporate all of his skill and knowledge into helping my son become seizure free. He is aggressive, do not see this doctor unless you have a serious neurological condition.

Too busy to effectively help me. If you have a disease that stands out then he could possibly help you. If it takes research or study, he will not have the time. He took our money and ran test after test that the insurance company would approve. When the test were concluded he treated us like black sheep and rushed us out. Told us that myasthenia gravis was double vision and did not affect muscles. According to The Mayo Clinic and others it does affect muscles. Undo Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. Dr Sabouni needs to hide his pride and make sure he knows an answer before he pops off the wrong one.
