Dr. Owens is an EXCELLENT surgeon. Assessed my problem carefully using my images (on CD-ROM), communicated with my referring physician, and had lengthy discussion with me. Operated and left me with a scar that is hardly visible! He did an awesome job and I am forever grateful.

This dr. is mostli a RESEARCH SURGEON - engaged in clinical trials for NCI [National Cancer Institute] See Sutter Cancer Center physician profile and NSABP B32 [Breast and Bowel Cancer Trial.] It is always a good idea to get a 2nd opinion from an outside non-Sutter dr. who is in regular practice.

Dr. Owens has operated on me twice. I have many abdominal problems and I feel he saved my life both times. He is very friendly, has a good bedside manner and knows what he is doing.
