I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Vidali and his staff. I am now currently pregnant with my second child with Dr. Vidali's help and also achieved a successful pregnancy with my first child as a result of him. He is truly an expert and knows the concoctions of medicine it took to get me pregnant. He was always available, even giving me his personal cell phone when I had any questions. His bed side manner is amazing and positive attitude makes the already overwhelming topic of infertility easier to deal with. Love, love, love Dr. Vidali and our soon to be family of four are so grateful to him.

I was a bona fide patient of Dr. Vidali's and overall my experience was very positive. I was not interested in going to a big clinic like NYU or Columbia with an overly medicalized, high-strung approach that treats everyone like a number. (And I did indeed try one of those clinics first.) Dr. Vidali has a European, laid-back manner, but he is still rigorous and I found him genuinely caring. He determined that I had two endometriomas (cysts), which I had removed by an excellent surgeon on his recommendation. After more than a year of fruitless trying I did indeed get pregnant via IVF with Vidali. I concur with some other reviews on this site about wishing he had provided worksheet instructions to supplement his verbal ones for the IVF process. But he's always available to answer questions. At his new clinic on 58th he is far more accessible than when he was with NeWay (I saw him through this transition), and the wait times and response times did improve.

We wasted a year and a half here. They did not offer the appropriate level of testing. We kept paying for procedures that made no sense for our situation. After a lot of time, money and an emotional roller coaster ride we went to a new RE and diagnosed the issue and became PG within a few months.

This is the practice through which I conceived twice via IVF. (I have an older child and am pregnant again now.) They went through some restructuring since my first time around, but I actually feel they are more accessible now and with shorter wait times than a few years ago. The desk staff, for the most part, are very nice and helpful. Dr. Vidali is knowledgeable but fairly laid back, which I appreciated, since I need a doctor who understands that I will object if I don't agree with something they suggest. Dr. Vidali understands that and is perfectly willing to discuss choices. He was straightforward but optimistic about what he felt my chances were to get pregnant, and I like that balance. Neither time through did I feel rushed into any particular protocol. I don't think he's arrogant - I think he is knowledgeable but open for discussion. I would definitely recommend that women meet with him or Dr. Karpenko, and see what they think for their particular situation.

Dr. Vidali was highly recommended by my OBGYN. I have been seeing him for over a year on and off. It took me a long time to make the decision to start IUI/IVF - has was not pushy and always answered my questions patiently. He has a delightful personality which makes the stressful infertility process less stressful. His entire staff are very responsive and competent, which is not often seen in Manhattan practices. I am happy to say that my first treatment is successful. I would highly recommend Dr. Vidali to anyone who is trying to conceive.

Dr. Vidali and his colleagues were easily the most accessible Doctors I have encountered in my life. The staff were incredibly courteous and helpful, which is a very rare quality in NYC. His relaxed and sometimes unorthodox demeaner are quite helpful and reassuring in this type of practice, and I am happy to say that the treatment was effective. I cannot recommend him or the American Fertility Services enough.

I came to AFS in 2008 after 5 yrs of seeing other specialists. This was after having 4 IVFs and 13 IUIs. I had left the last specialists after experiencing a chemical pregnancy and not being given an explanation of what had happened. I had 1 IVF at AFS but it was not successful. At that point I ran out of money. I waited some months and then went back to them and told them I would try IUIs for 6 months and see what happens. At no point was I pressured that no, that wouldn't work, you should try IVF again [and spend more $$]. Dr. Vidali performed my second IUI [which was in total my 15th!] and I got pregnant. I find his demeanor very European which he is, and since I am to technically, I'm not offended with his laid back aura, which I think some Americans can be. I will always be grateful for the docs and staff at AFS b/c without them I don't think I'd have had my son!

Dr Vidali is very knowledgeable, laid-back and down-to-earth. He gets right to the point, and this matter-of-fact style can feel abrupt. However, he is very dedicated to his patients, is very accessible (email and cell phone), responds quickly, and doesn't lie. Sometimes he could be a bit more focused, or hand out a checklist of things that the patient should do, but he doesn't mind answering questions. My experience with him and the whole staff of AFS was exceptionally good. On a few occasions, he was running late and I waited a while to see him, but it's a minor inconvenience. He was willing to come on a Sunday for my IUI. Now that's dedication.
