Horrible Horrible Horrible experience! I was referred to Dr. Dyas by my surgeon. I made an appointment with Dr. Dyas office three weeks in advance. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early and completed paperwork. After waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes for my appointment, I asked the girl at the front desk how much longer I would have to wait. I was told there were still 4 patients ahead of me and to expect at least another 1 hour wait. After several minutes I asked to speak with the office manager. The office manager confirmed there were 4 additional patients ahead of me and it would most likely be at least another 1 hour wait. I informed her to cancel my appointment, tear up my paperwork and DO NOT bill my insurance company for any charges. I told the office manager as well as the girl at the front desk that it is very obvious that Dr. Dyas has NO respect for my time. I am self employed and I would never ever treat one of my customers so disrespectfully. I consider my time to be just as valuable to me as his time is to him. His tardiness clearly showed me how rude and disrespectful he is. I would never give my money or allow my medical insurance company to pay their money to someone so rude and disrespectful! When I arrived for my appointment, the girl at the front desk should have made me aware they are GREEDY and overbook appointments. Then I would have had the choice to wait or cancel instead of wasting 2 hours of my time after having driven from out of town to his office in Mobile, AL.
If you plan to use Dr. Dyas services, be sure to ask whether or not he plans to respect your time or he plans to make you wait indefinitely to see him. My final thought is two fold. It's all about communication. What is the purpose of scheduling appointments if you are never able to stick to an appointment schedule (I was told by the girl at the front desk that long waits are common practice everyday at Dr. Dyas office). Why not just have people show up for first come first serve to be waited on by the doctor. Also, if this is the daily norm of having extensive wait times, the girls at the front desk should make patients aware when scheduling appointments or when you arrive for your appointment. They don't tell you this upfront because they have NO respect for patients time, they are GREEDY and trap you in hopes you will stay the wait and sit it out. Other sheeples might do it but NOT ME!!

Dr. Dyas has been my surgeon for years. He is the most professional and competent doctor in the state. I have never had any complaints and he is always attentive and caring. I have followed all of his advice after surgery and never had any issues. He will forever be our doctor and I will always recommend him. Thanks Dr. Dyas for always taking care of me and my family!

While I'm sure he's very knowledgeable, this doctor is a total DICK. I was referred to him for bariatric surgery by my regular physician. Even at the first appointment, I knew he shouldn't be seeing patients. He has zero time and is a complete DICK. You can barely get a word in too. He even berated one of his staff in front of me. I would absolutely never recommend this man.

This doctor seems to be knowledgeable but treats you like cattle being herded. He only asked me two questions and when I tried to talk to him about my symptoms he was very dismissive. He was checking to see if I had a hernia and told me to, "Stand up and drop your pants." I was embarrassed and looked at the nurse who shrugged her shoulders. So I did what he asked. Then he told me to drop my panties. I was just so embarrassed because I have never felt like that before. They could have at least let me undress in private and have something to keep me from being so exposed. The nurse was right in front of me. When I told my gp (who sent me there) she seemed surprised and told me to request a different doctor in the group. When I did, the receptionist told me that all the doctors in the group treated all patients that way. I ended up seeing Dr. Su (shortened because his name is so unusual) and he was AMAZING! He treated me with so much more respect.

Will use again if future needs arise. Sometimes appointments run behind, but that is common with surgeons. Office always called when running behind.
