This surgeon has saved my son's life 3 times. My son was born with a severe, congenital heart defect and needed emergency life-saving surgery at 2 months of age. Despite terrible odds against his survival, Dr. Calhoon did an amazing job. Again, 9 months later, he provided a surgical "fix" to allow my son to grow to adult size so that 17 years later, he could once again operate on him and save his life. Now my husband and I have the confidence needed to send our son off to college over 1600 miles away from home -- knowing his heart is in the best condition it can be in. Dr. Calhoon's bedside manner is second to none. His communication skills are superior to other doctors I have met in the past. He really cares about his patients and his patients' families. I cannot recommend this surgeon and the fabulous staff he has pulled together enough.
