Outstanding Doctor and Staff. Had major surgery which included a hysterectomy, appendix removal and the removal of two large mass' from my abdomen / stomach. He was compassionate and optimistic throughout the procedure from diagnostic through the final outcome. He had two pathology labs confirm that the mass' were not cancerous. His office staff were also outstanding and handled all the insurance forms. Highly recommended.

Dr Good has been my Dr for many yrs off/on (I was out of the state for work). I looked him up as soon as I was due for my yearly exam, once I had gotten back to TN. His bedside manner is of the best I have experienced. While he has little wait time (if you consider he is seeing patients and CARING about them) he does listen to and acknowledge your questions/concerns. The Good Dr has performed 2 surgeries for me and I wouldn't want anyone else to come near me with surgical equipment. During the decision making process and following both surgeries, he has been actively involved with explainations to my husband and was very polite to family members who accompanied me to the hospital. Dr Good keeps the expense as low as he can by only doing what is necessary. After my insurance has been billed I have had to pay very little to his office. The awesome staff at Dr Good's office are people who still actually ANSWER the phone, and return voicemail messages if you called during lunch. Nice.

Knowledgeable about womens health. He is NOT quick to do a lot of expensive testing that is unnecessary or give multiple medications until he is sure of what he is treating. That is what makes a Good doctor :)

He downplayed and minimized my concerns throughout my pregnancy about my continuous vomiting / diarrhea, telling me repeatedly that it was "Absolutely Normal", which was what he said about EVERYTHING I encountered and I got the sense he wasn't really listening to me. When I went into labor and hospital ran preliminary bloodwork I was found to be severely dehydrated and had dangerously low potassium levels, as a result of 9 months of vomiting & diarrhea. This necessitated several painful infusions of potassium before and after delivery, and the nurses told me I could have had a heart attack from my potassium being so low! Dr. Good is also dismayingly unsupportive of breastfeeding, calling it "no big deal", and was shocked at my 4 wk checkup that I was STILL breastfeeding (the AAP recommends the infant is breastfed for a minimum of 1 year!). When I later raised concerns about postpartum depression, he coldly told me I'd have to wean if I REALLY wanted help! I do not recommend him!

Pushed sterilization. Not kind. Quick to say symptoms were physicological another doctor took the time to actually find the problem.

Seven years ago at the young age of 25 Dr. Good tied my tubes immediatly following the birth of my daughter which was a difficult pregnancy for me. Now everyday my husband and I pray for this tubal to fail and for us to be blessed with another wonderful child. I feel Dr. Good is at fault to a degree. He knew my pregnancy had been difficult on me. He also knew I was only 25 years old. My husband had even made the comment to Dr. Good wondering if there was any chance that in the future should our circumstances improve if there would be a chance of getting the procedure reversed with success!? Dr. Good (if he has any common sense at all) should have known that we were not 100% positive this was the direction we wanted to take. I believe he should have discussed the procedure to us in detail, the advantages and disadvantages, to be reassured this was what we wanted. Heck, I don't even know what method he used!!! That is how informed we really were!! Thank you Dr. Good for not being th
