I saw Dr. Spengel this year for Carpal Tunnel In both hands. X-Rays were taken & he told me that the problem stemmed from the Carpal bones In each hand being misplaced the same amount of distance in each hand. I am right hand dominant so i asked him If he was sure & he said yes, he sees this kind of thing with bones all the time. he then did the procedor of cracking each hand to snap the bones back into place, demo on Youtube here-https://www.youtube.com/watchv=fgDFGZ7Nj6I&index=62&list=LLWVtxKxHzf6dcSWxRB5RuZg
After a month of treatments without Improvement, I took the X-Rays to a hand specialist at Illinois Bone & Joint. The specialist told me the bones In my hands were NORMAL & had NOTHING to do with my Carpal Tunnel. When Dr. Spengel was told of the results he had nothing to say. When I wrote Centegra about my concern that he doesn't know how to read a hand X-Ray, his boss, who Is also a Chiro, did his best at damage control. He threw out some medical terms & then told me what Dr. Spengel did was appropriate.
My advice to anyone with a hand problem Is to go Immediately to a Hand Specialist whose expertise Is upper extremity & especially the Hands because they know what they are doing. Don't EVER go to a Chiropractor unless a specialist tells you to.
On a side note, other things I don't like about Dr. Spengel In particular is he lied. I asked him If he ever had Injuries or accidents as a child & he told me "NO NO NO" with hesitation. Yet, In his Youtube video he made, he claims he DID have headaches & an Injury in the past. So which one Is the lie? Also If you decide to go to him for back problems, etc. please be mindful that when he Is in his office he eavesdrops on conversations within earshot. I speak from experience on all of the above. Do what you will with the Info.

I have had chronic low back problems for the past 3-4 years. After receiving a referral to Dr. Spengel, I've been seeing him 2-3 times a week for the past couple of months. Prior to seeing him, I had not been able to walk more than a quarter mile without the pain starting. After just 2 months of visits it's with him, I'm able to walk 2-3 miles with minimal pain. While I'm not completely cured, the pain lately is the least it's been in the last 3 years or so. He truly cares about his patients and their well being, and I would absolutely recommend him!!

Before going to him, I had 3 injections that did nothing. I had pain and was unable to stand for more than 3 minutes. I have gotten total relief from Dr. Spengel's use of the COX technique, along with exercises. His staff is helpful and professional. I only had to wait for appointments once or twice because he had taken time for other emergency clients and it was later in the day. For back pain relief, I would highly recommend Dr. Spengel.

Worst chiro I have ever been to, he hurt me so bad and I'm still dealing with the pain he caused. I charged me so much and does not know what he is doing. Take the time to find a good chiro, DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!!!!
