If I could leave a negative star I would. Went for a varicose vein in the right leg. Worked on me for almost a year even on the leg I had no complaints about(left). Kept telling me they would do the varicose vein in the right next time. Drained my pocket book and never did address the varicose vein in the right leg. My last visit there I saw large boxes of files that read patients no longer coming.

Word to the wise. Ask what the charges will be for EVERY procedure. The first charge was explained in entirety. The 2cd procedure was less than 5 minutes and was to do touch up spider veins. They charged a ridiculous fee and it wiped out my hra account . At no time was this charge explained to me . Only the initial charge for the first procedure. Ask before having any work done. Was pleased with outcome , but not worth the $ unless you have severe issues.

Dr. Traurig is extremely credentialed and excellent in explaining vascular disease; yet, the very painful realities of the procedure itself should have been discussed better beforehand in my opinion, so I could make a much better decision for myself. During the procedure, the pain of the multiple shots up my inner upper leg right before the laser procedure itself were excruciating for me. I feel I should have been told the extent of the pain during and after (which can last up to 1 year possibly.) I also have a large bill now as well which was unexpected as I was never told my portion of responsibility of the payment beforehand. Perhaps I should have called my own insurance company myself to find out beforehand? Yet, unfortunately, the out-of-pocket cost and the pain I experienced will prevent me from being able to return. The ultra sound person is very professional and thorough in her work and is definitely the "shining star" in going to this office.

Dr. T, as I like to refer to him, really cares about his patients and does everything he knows to do as a licensed practicioner to ensure his patients are well cared for and have the highest quality of care. I was recently injured in an automobile accident and he was very patient with all my aches and pains and made sure to follow up with me and make sure I was well.

I. Payment. Several of our adolescent kids show up at Dr. Traurig's office and forget to pay their copays. At other times, colleges neglect to provide us, their parents, with the necessary confirmations of enrollment on a timely basis in order for the insurance company to make payment to the office. Never, ever, in the eight years that I've dealt with this office has anything negative ever been said. I often offer to pay the expenses out of pocket rather than inconvenience Dr. Traurig and his staff; but I am always told, "that's ok, we can wait". Insurance companies seemingly do anything not to pay the doctors; but Dr. Traurig's office staff is not to blame for insurance matters. There must be more here than meets the eye. II. Rudeness/"bedside manner". This is the guy who saved our elderly uncle's life when all the other docs wrote him off, laid it on the line when our son was off the deep end, and made more referrals for various ailments than one can i
