I was given trusted referral to this Doctor by my ophthalmologist of 24 years and found his staff so rude and lacking in basic etiquette I had to leave the office in disgust before seeing this Doctor after a 5 week protracted affair. The Manager Susan and assistant were very rude throughout a 5 week affair till I was left abandoned in hallway day of appt. Unlike other cosmetic surgeons, this Doctor requires a $75 consult fee while his peers offered considerable time and more polite staff for reviewing blepharoplasty eyelid surgery where the specialties were not a fit.

When I followed up with Dr. Perman about the awful experience over a 5-week period that cast serious doubt on the post surgery care in his office, he compared the experience to "a bad meal at a good restaurant." This Doctor had an arrogant attitude and couldn't care less about the awful treatment of his staff much less appreciate how poor a reflection this is on his practice or the quality of care from his office.

Was quoted one price for a consultation (which is complimentary at most plastic surgery centers) and was told another price after the visit. I was not given any information on the cost of the procedure after asking and was told I would be called to discuss the pricing (what?). No one called. I got a very bad feeling from this place and would never have surgery with them. Buyer beware. This is not a professional establishment.

Dr. Perman is a very talented surgeon, unafraid to take on difficult cases. In my case, he corrected an eyelid problem ( that was covered by insurance) and also did a fantastic cosmetic blepharoplasty. I never felt rushed in my appointments as he is is genuinely interested in answering questions and getting to know you as a patient. I was recommended to him by my eye doctor, and now I myself can recommend him without reservation.

The procedure went smoothly, and recovery was exactly as Dr. Perman predicted. The results were very good.

7 months ago I had blepharoplasty .Surgical cuts were excessive, the sutures were pulled too tight, eyelids are asymmetric and pulled so tight that they do not make contact with the cornea.I need another surgery to corect this.He told me that he did the best.I would not recoment him to anyone.

Don't know why he is listed as an "internist" I am 50 and had basal cell removed from my lower lid by via MOHs surgery. That left me with half a lower lid and only a partial tear duct. Dr Perman repaired this area and rebuilt my tear duct using upper eyelid skin. It is virtually unnoticeable (except that I lost half my lashes during MOHs)- I have to point out the scar to my dermatologists. I have NO leaking or dry eye which shows how skilled he is. He also repaired a crappy upper bleph that I had a few years before.I would go back to him without hesitation.

I had a routine blepharoplasty performed by Dr Perman in May 2011. The surgery went horribly wrong. My eyes were pulled so tight that I had more wrinkles than prior to the surgery. Because my eyelids were pulled so tight they do not come in contact with my eyeballs and my eyelids do not close all the way. I, therefore, have chronic corneal abrasions and have to use eyedrops all day to stay comfortable. The actual appearance of the corrective surgery is also flawed, the sutures were pulled too tight and my skin puckered and formed bumps and this is how it healed. I have had two other opinions and both agree my surgery needs to be re-done. Dr Perman denies any wrong doing, tells me that I am wrong and the surgery turned out fine and refuses return my money so that I may have my eyes repaired by someone more competent. I have been depressed since May and have a hard time going out in public. He is arrogant and smug and more importantly an incompetent surgery.

Skilled surgeon. Bedside manner could use some work. So it's up to the patient to make sure they get their questions ready before appt. But his work is very good. I had a difficult case, and he took it on and helped quite a bit. Highly recommend for first surgery to do it right the first time.
