Dr. Howard performed a total disc replacement in my cervical spine a year ago today. He was very informative, supportive of any treatment decision that I made, and genuinely concerned for my well being. There aren't many of these surgeries done and he has the skill and gift that results in successfull outcomes. I have been pain free since I awoke from the anasthesia the day of my surgery and I continue to live a better quality life thanks to Dr. Howard.

I went in for a spinal fusion it never held dr howard will nor see me unless i agree to another back surgery to fix the problem. He refuses to see me now and is not helpful. I cannot return to work becauae of my limitations and the pain i am in. I wake up every morning with pain and my back hurts so back i can't even pick up my daighter. I had this surgery 2 years ago and it never held correctly

This Man changed my life. A microdiscectomy and Laminectomy from another surgeon left me in immense pain, with zero quality of life, and the inability to work. Not only did Dr. Howard listen to all my fears, concerns, thoughts, and painful experiences; he made himself available to me at a moment's notice for any questions I had. He performed a very new cutting edge spinal fusion surgery called XLIF (extreme lateral interbody fusion), and I've never felt better. He clearly explained how serious this procedure was, but that it was the correct decision in my case. He was by my side before I went under, after I woke up, and checked on me frequently, never unavailable to me. 10 days post surgery, I've never felt better, he has brought back my life and his bedside manor is nothing like I've ever experienced. I can't say enough about this wonderful man & surgeon, accept that he turned my life around when no other doctor thought it was possible. Highly recommended, forever grateful

Dr. Howard performed an anterior 3 level cervical disc fusion on me 6 weeks ago. I believe that if you need a back surgeon, you cannot do any better than Dr. Howard. He is so very experienced and as professional as they come. His staff is also wonderful. Back surgery is not something that any of us want to have, but if we do we want the best surgeon possible to be operating on us. Dr. Howard meets that level and more.

I would highly recommend Dr. Mark Howard for anyone in need of back surgery. He took care of my mother (73yrs old) with tender loving care. He came highly recommended by trusted friends whom had back surgery done by Dr. Howard and we could not be happier with the results. My mother is now three weeks into her recovery and up & walking. We will forever be grateful to Dr. Howard, his entire office staff,the team at Community Hospital of the Monterey peninsula and last but not least everyone at the Westland House.
