I went to this doctor because I had a stye that got infected and I started to see blurry. I went to Stephen J. Gordon on Cleveland street in HIghland Park and when he walked into the office, he was very rude and hurried. He didn't listen to a word I said. He did not address any of my issues at all and could not care less. I was yelled at several times for moving or not doing what I was told fast enough because I did not understand what he was doing. He was very short and got angry at me very quickly, even pushing my head into the eye machine. I had a swollen eye lid which hurt very much and he took a paper towel wiped the medicine I had on it off harshly and it hurt for a while after I left. I went to him for help and all's I got was a rude and insensitive doctor. Ultimately. he said that I was wrong and I was not seeing blurry when in fact I am seeing blurry. can you imagine going to a doctor for a problem like seeing blurry and the doctor implies that you are lying. It is ridiculous. I would not recommend this uncaring insensitive doctor.
Update: I decided to call Gordon’s office once I got over the initial shock of what happened. They agreed to give me my co-pay back and the receptionist didn’t sound surprised at all that I had a complaint. She actually referred me to another eye doctor and I went to them and it turns out I have damage to my cornea from the swelling rubbing on my eye. She said it was very evident when looking in my eye and easy to detect which further confirms that Stephen Gordon doesn’t give a crap about his patients. My eye got worse with every passing day and I am so upset that this could have been taken care of earlier. Unbelievable…..
