This was the most frustrating experience I've had with a doctor. Very patronizing, dismissive, did not listen to serious concerns, made a lot of assumptions that showed he was not listening to what I was saying, didn't give clear advice, and when I got frustrated and asked follow up questions, he gave up, told me to find a different psychiatrist, and then put a lot of blatant disinformation in my chart. It was almost impressive how many of the things in his notes were the exact opposite of what I said. He also neglected to ask pretty important questions, made up wrong answers to those questions, and put them in my medical record. I am actively worse off for having seen this doctor. Please spare yourself the frustration and find someone else.

This doctor puts his ego over his patients. He suggested increasing a medication that I was afraid would cause me to commit suicide, since last time I increase a medication from the same class I ended up hospitalized for being suicidal. He was so rude to me and even started yelling at me for not wanting to do what he says. He said oh if you’re suicidal then just call and we will decrease the dose. This is so irresponsible since I did tell him I’m not at a place where I could fight it if it got bad again. This doctor does not care about you, he cares about his pride and his ego. Do not see him

Very very bad doc. Seems out of it whenever you go to an appointment and burnt out or tired from his job. Rarely punctual and has given wrong advice in the past that every other doc and pharmacist said was clearly wrong.

Dr. Giacomo is a good listener and very respectful and knowledgeable. The meds he prescribed for me have been life-changing, and I only wish I went to him before the other doctors who unsuccessfully treated me.

Dr. Daniel Gacomo has been a highly competent, professional, caring psychiatrist who listen attentively, answer all questions, and is very empathic. A very well trained physician he is also a sensitive human being. I
would greatly recommend him without reservations.

Dr. Giacomo was always distracted during my appointments by his beeper and computer. I felt like he wasn't really hearing or understanding my issues. He also had steered me down a wrong path with my medication. I have dealt with my mental disorder for almost 20 years and in this time I have had seen different doctors. It was very disappointing when Dr. Giacomo terminated my treatment. His reason was that I needed a lot of medicine adjustments. It's funny if he would have been listening to what was going on in my life, this would not have been surprise to him. I highly recommend to steer clear of Dr. Giacomo. Oh and be sure to be on time, you will be charged if you are 10 minutes late.

Dr. Daniel Gacomo has been a very competent, professional, caring psychiatrist who has monitored me for many years. I thought he was Italian, seems he might be Argentinian! No matter, he always is willing to listen carefully, answer any questions, and is genuinely concerned. A very well qualified physician he is also an art afficiando and never talks down to you, never makes you feel self concious about having to deal with any of the stigma that unfortunately still is carried in our modern world..Once I needed a bit of special help in dealing with the stress of a medical crisis and he helped me choose a medication that really helped. He is a warm and caring man and that is deeply appreciated. I would recommend him even to family members and be confident he would greatly help them in every way.

I found Doctor Giacomo to be a decent man but a poor doctor. He changed therapies often and without any cogent explanation for why it was necessary. The lack of communication was so bad that I had to find another doctor. He may be competent in some ways but he needs to communicate clearly and listen carefully to what patients tell him, after all, that is a large portion of his job as a psychiatrist.

Extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He makes sure that you're not "ok" but that you're cured of the symptoms. He's not a touchy feeley kinda guy, which for me I appreciate - he's a doctor. Everyones so different that he takes the time to customize the best solution for your situation.
