I went to see him about chronic heartburn. I was referred to a radiologist, and after the test results showed nothing unusual, he told me to keep taking Zantac. He refused to prescribe me Prilosec. Thankfully it is now available over the counter. It was very frustrating to spend all this time and money and be told to keep taking Zantac instead of actually helping me. Six years later, I still have really bad heartburn if I don’t take Prilosec at least once a day.
