I had several appointments with Dr Berstein. Every single one of them I was kept waiting for at least an hour. After complaining I was promised it wouldn't happen again. My last appointment I walked out without seeing the doctor after waiting 45 minutes.

Many years ago, I took my 11 year old daughter to this doctor due to what looked like a mole with an irregular edge that had developed. on her leg. The recommendation came from our office nurse who had her in as a speaker-an expert in moles and other such skin issues. I was so distraught. My daughter is interracial. This doctor had the audacity to ask me if I knew who the father is! My husband is a wonderful man from a wonderful family. She then stated (not asked) that I probably don't know the family history to which I advised that I do in fact know his family history going back generations-in writing. It's a close family. I told her I probably know his history better than she knows her own. She said she could remove the mole for biopsy and leave a quarter size indentation on her leg or I could take her to a plastic surgeon. I left her office and called another wonderful dermatologist who said he's stay open and wait for me . It was late in the day. He looked and at it and said it was dried blood blister and then swiped it off with a cotton swab and alcohol. How dare she call herself an 'expert'. I made sure everyone I worked with in a building with over 3000 people knew and I was asked over and over for years about this doctors ethics.

As i was leaving this office Dr. Mindy Bernstein noticed that i had a tiny white head pimple and offered to take care of it for me before i left. She took a lancet and popped the tiny pimple. She sent a bill to my insurance company as "surgery" for the tiny popped pimple. I refused to pay the $150 fee that my insurance wouldnt cover for the pimple and called her office. The staff would Not let me speak to her. After multiple attempts to get this Dr. on the phone i gave up and did not pay. The Dr helped to ruin my credit and sent it to her lawyers who came after me for the money. I was forced to pay $150 to have a tiny pimple popped. Worst experience ever!
