Biography

Alfredo J. Fiallo, MD was born in Cuba, and is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. Dr. Fiallo earned his bachelor’s degree at Catholic University of Puerto Rico and his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. He continued his education as an intern in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He returned to San Juan for an internal medicine residency at the Veterans Administration Center at the University of Puerto Rico. Dr. Fiallo made his way back to Texas as a research fellow at the Department of Medicine-Division of Nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He’s an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American College of Physicians, the American Federation for Clinical Research, the Texas Medical Association, the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation. When he isn’t working, Dr. Fiallo enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. Dr. Fiallo sees patients at San Antonio Kidney Disease Center Physicians Group’s Downtown clinic.
