As requested,I will say it politely: Dr. Holcomb knowingly ignored symptoms of an impending stroke, dug his heels in and refused to order the necessary tests apparently just to avoid taking suggestions from a patient, sent me home(to drive back to Springfield from Belton) when I was in acute distress, didn't listen, interrupted me so many times I lost count, walked away while I was trying to tell him my history, wouldn't answer my questions about what labs he was ordering but instead gave me a flippant and sexist response. As a result I now have weakness in my left hand and leg.Additionally during that visit Holcomb gave me some shockingly incorrect medical advice. This guy is as dangerous as it gets.Run away from him.Should Holcomb cause injury to anyone else be advised that Health Midwest knew of the risks. In June,2012 Health Midwest was made aware of the existing problems with Holcomb via two certified letters and given a chance to address them.

Wouldn't treat acute symptoms of an impending stroke yet admitted one of my diagnoses was TIA's or mini-strokes. Scanned my head where the clot would be in someone who had ALREADY HAD a stroke, but would NOT look for a clot in the places it would be if a stroke was ABOUT to happen.Wouldn't listen, missed essential information because he kept interrupting me,talked down to me to the point that it was an insult.Ordered lab work but wouldn't answer my question about what he ordered; Flippantly said,"Your salt and a whole bunch of things, Kiddo."(Running lab work does not do anything to stop mini strokes from becoming a bigger one.)Wouldn't let me speak long enough for me to ask whether an anticoagulant (to stop a bigger clot from forming)would be right for me.Did suggest I see a family practice doctor (who had several low ratings from customers)but completely blew off the idea of me needing a neurologist cardiologist or internist.Made VERY INCORRECT statement to me about coronary arteries.

1.)Endangered my life by sending me home without scanning either my heart or aorta, when I had all the classic symptoms of being about to have a stroke ,and having numerous risk factors for a stroke. Dr. Holcomb didn't know that because essentially every time I tried to tell him something about my history or symptoms he interrupted me. 2.)Talked down to me,talked slowly and loudly to me,addressed me as "Kiddo",wouldn't even tell me what lab tests he had ordered. His response was,"Your salt and a whole bunch of things."Told me he was going to order a heart scan but didn't.3.)Wouldn't discuss whether an anticoagulant would be appropriate for me.4.)Even though my hands had been going completely limp, I had been having dizzy spells, and also had a new onset of slurred speech, this (guy) never said one word about me seeing a neurologist,at all.His solution was for me to call a family practice physician who had a lot of negative references and see her whenever she could get me in!
