Provided the only dry eye treatment that worked and when I had trauma to my eye he told me every option and what the results would be and how long it would take and how hard each would be to repair my eye. Literally the best Doc I have ever seen( my family doc is the same). He listens and knows what it takes to take care of you. Even answers the phone after hours.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE! Front desk has no clue how to check in patients, extremely disorganized, staff doesn't wear gloves when doing initial tests, They did not verify insurance ahead of time, tried to over charge me for services I didn't have the option of declining, Dr. was extremely rude and didn't ask if I had any questions, was finally seen OVER an hour after my scheduled appointment time, the doctor yelled at other patients, entire experience was horrendous!

I have an extremely difficult dry eye situation, and with bad health, it seems pretty hopeless at times. I came into Dr. Panzers office with some new glasses that weren't working well for me, he spent 3 hours of his time to try and figure out what would work best for me, and he did figure it out! I've never had a Doctor that would spend that kind of time with and cared that much! If he hadn't of done what he did, I wouldn't have been able to drive home that day (I couldn't see well enough) If you're looking for a Doctor that cares, Dr. Panzer IS that Doctor!

Dr. Panzer did a fitting for my custom lenses and I don't think I could have found anyone nor knowledgeable and willing to make sure they were correct in Houston. I would recommend him to any and everyone.

When it comes to my eyes I want a place with the best equipment and a staff who is not only knowledgeable but caring and focused on my needs. This is that place. The latest equipment, check. Great selection, check. Friendly staff, check. The doctor... CHECK. Dr Panzer is the kind of doctor that doesn't seem to exist today... but he is 100% focused on making sure I am heard and completely taken care of. He cares and the entire practice follows his suit. And how many doctors follow up TWICE? I went the first time for his prices, but have remained loyal because of his genuine care. Now my parents (who had a weekend emergency and he met them after hours) and every friend I have had the chance to refer to him see him.

Dr. Panzer spends the time you to explain what is going on with your eyes you never feel rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Panzer and his excellent staff.

Dr. Allan Panzer has been my optometrist for more than 45 years. The last 30 years my wife and daughter are his patients. I honestly believe he is one of the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable eye doctors in the city of Houston [or Texas for that matter]. What I love about his office is how thru the years it has updated equipment and procedures to keep up with the most modern procedures available. For ex., today on my annual check up I know longer had to get my eyes dilated but there was this modern equipment that did the picture of what the dilated eyes would show. I would highly recommend Dr. Panzer to anyone in or near the Houston area who is looking for a good optometrist.

Amazing experience. Dr. Panzer is by far the best therapeutic optometrist in the USA. I suffered from a severe case of a dry eye syndrome. I saw several "ophtalmologists" that were unable to improve my condition. My visits with Dr. Panzer were always amazing! His staff was very courteous and always caring for me and my clinical condition. The office itself is very nice with state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Panzer was able to improve my condition on my first visit. He "magically" improved my symptoms by placing on my eye a "bandage" contact lens. As I had quite a significant amount of damage to my eye, he suggested I tried "Prokera" a human umbilical cord derivative membrane that allows the cornea to heal. I was personally hesitant at the beginning as this therapeutic intervention. However, my eyesight started to act up and Dr. Panzer placed the Prokera membrane in my eye. It took 3 days for it to fully dissolve. The results were anything short of a miracle! My vision improved tremendously and the symptoms of a dry eye improved dramatically to the point that i no longer have to use eye drops every hour to keep my eye going.
I strongly suggest that you see Dr. Panzer for dry eye problems but also for all your vision care needs. My entire family sees him for eye care needs. Simply amazing!
I can't give him higher scores than the 5 stars as the computer doesn't allow me to do so. Otherwise I would give him 20 stars! Highly recommended.
