I brought my 90 yo mother in for her eye check up. Nurses were fine but the doctor hardly spoke to my mom, no one ever addressed her by name, and at the end of the appointment rushed through a summary which she could not catch up with because she's 90 YO! When a I went after him in the hallway to see if they had dilated her pupils, he dismissed my question as if it were inconsequential. Have I mentioned, she's 90 yo?!?! Basically told us the dilation shouldn't affect her. I've had my eyes dilated before and it took a while before I could see clearly. I explained that I needed to know because she would want to walk to see my dad who lives ion a different area of their retirement home. Again, he dismissed this. Rude, inconsiderate of an elderly woman, and clearly doesn't have any sympathy for what she might be experiencing. I'm changing her eye doctor as this guy doesn't seem to care if she's his patient or not. If you are an elderly person yourself or are searching for an eye doctor for an elderly person, look elsewhere.
