This is an amazing Surgeon, always looking out for me. His medical approach is a analytical evaluation of medical exams. He spends time explaining medical results. The medical staff is friendly. I am grateful to have him as my surgeon. I recommend DR. J for spine surgery.

I was a patient of Dr. Jamrich's for a decade. After 10 years with him, in my experience he is terrible at diagnosis, but a great surgeon. If the problem is staring him in the face and he confirms it with other doctors, he can fix it. That was my 1st surgery with Dr. J in 2004. When a radiologist tells him where the problem is and he takes the time to read the radiologist report, he can fix it. That was my 2nd experience with Dr. J in 2005. In 2013 when he tried to read films on his own for all of a minute and made a hasty diagnosis, he performed a surgery that was of no benefit to me (my 3rd experience). I later had the 3rd problem taken care of with another surgeon who took the time to consider my history, my symptoms, and send me for extra testing when the MRI was not helpful. He's a nice man and he genuinely cares, but I'd urge anyone going with Dr. J to insist he read your reports and get a second opinion.

I am a doctor myself so I have a very intimate understanding of my condition. This doctor, I hate to say, was embarrasingly cursory, did not look at a detailed history I prepared, made a hasty diagnosis and recommended a fusion I did not need. It is alarming that he has many good recommendations based on my experience with him, I think many patients are being treated with unnecessary surgery or at least are not getting the full attention they deserve. I would avoid Dr. Jamrich and seek help elsewhere!

I have never made a review on this site before but had to for Dr. Jamrich because HE IS THAT GOOD. Dr. Jamrich performed a major thoracic and lumbar spinal fusion (from scoliosis). With a surgery like this you don't go in lightly. I went through 5 doctors before finally finding Dr. Jamrich and knew after the first appointment he was someone I could trust with my life. He researched the best procedure for me (there was also a revision of another surgery I had 17 years previously) and looked at cutting edge technology while still taking into account what the safest and most effective techniques would be. It was a very complicated 12 hour surgery and I have had a complete recovery. I even went backpacking in New Zealand last month!! His bedside manner is impeccable: courteous, polite, kind, listens extremely well, never makes you feel rushed even though he is obviously in high demand. As a testament,I invited the man to my wedding -- he's that great -- and yes, I am a real patient.
