Dr . John Simon is excellent! He really cares about his patients. He knows medicine. He is an old school doctor that can treat you for anything. I’ve been seeing him for ten years for kidney disease and he has kept me off permanent disability. He has a great staff at the Covington office. The thing I like the most about him is his honesty He will tell you what is wrong straight up! He is very compassionate!

My father was hospitalized at Lakeview Hospital in July 2022. Due to Covid protocols, neither my mother nor I could visit him. Unfortunately, Dr. Simon was assigned to my father's "care". Due to his illness, my father was unable to effectively communicate about his medical history and what led up to his illness. Despite numerous requests to speak with Dr. Simon and provide him with information necessary to properly understand my father's medical history and condition, Dr. Simon never agreed to speak with us. Instead, he insisted that we communicate with the various nurses and PAs who cycled through the rotating shifts at the hospital. We had no consistent point of contact. As a result, Dr. Simon did not have critical information that one conversation with us could have provided, and there was no treatment plan. My father continued to decline and passed away during that hospital stay. The purpose of this post is to warn others that this doctor's arrogance makes him dangerous.
