THIS DOCTOR IS A CREEP. HE DOESN'T LISTEN TO YOU OR DISCUSS THE TREATMENT HE RECOMMENDS, HE JUST TURNS AROUND AND TYPES ON HIS COMPUTER. HE DID NOT FOCUS ON MY CURRENT PAIN OR THE TREATMENTS HE SUGGESTED HE JUST FOCUSED ON THE ACCIDENT ITSELF, WHICH WAS NOT THE REASON I WAS THERE. HE HAD A TERRIBLE BEDSIDE MATTER, AND HE TREATED ME LIKE A DRUG ADDICT (EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A MASTERS DEGREE AND DEFINITELY DO NOT ACT LIKE A DRUG ADDICT). YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF FINDING ANOTHER DOCTOR

Been in Chronic Pain for over 20years. It got so bad all I wanted to do was die. The constant suffering was intolerable. Finally someone mentioned Pain Management and I found Dr.. Helm. After a month the pain was managed. I still go to the office and ended up seeing all the past PA's. They were great as well as Dr. Helm. This is the first time I'm scared due to the new Doctor. He doesn't know me, my history of pain ,also never even asked. But said he is going to make adjustments that can set me back. I don't want to be where I was before I came to the Helm Center. As far as the staff the front office is rude and the medical assistance don't return calls or try as hard as they should with what issue you may have.. Last year I had an issue they did nothing and Dr. Lily took care of it personally. It was an Urgent issue, thank God for Lily. If it wasn't for The Helm Center I don't know where I would be. Living with daily chronic pain even when managed takes a huge toll on your life.

Dr. Helm and his staff are spot on for pain management and I have only had extremely positive results with respect to my pain and the management of the associated pain. My shoulder pain which at first seemed completely debilitating has been minimized. Dr. Helm and his knowledgeable staff have made living in constant pain much more bearable. I would recommend this practice to anyone, especially family and friends due to the proactive treatment I have received over the last several months. Quality care and empathy are the 2 areas that set this practice apart from other providers I have seen in the past.

They charge a flat $50 fee for a copy of your medical records no matter how short or long and no matter whether electronic or not. It also doesn't matter if you are transferring the records to another doctor or not. I believe this is illegal both under HIPAA and California law. California law does allow a "reasonable" fee for paper copies of records, but a $50 flat fee is not only reasonable, it is not based on per page which is all the law allows. The staff is exceptionally rude and unhelpful.

Generally good for pain mgt. and physical therapy recommendations / treatment. I've used them for severe bursitis treatment over the last few months.

Office staff is efficient, and helpful. My schedule is always all over the place, and they are always able to fit me in. The surgery scheduler is extremely thorough, an instructional email is always sent. The office manager is always on hand to answer any questions, and to insure that the practice moves smoothly. Dr. Helm is a fantastic physician, with copious amounts of knowledge on various aspects of health.

Don't trust this Doctor! Was allergic to Medication and they never caught it! While doing block they hit my nerve!
