Biography
Dr. Janet Seper is a Chicago native. She attended the College of St. Francis where she received her degree in Biology and attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago. She moved to Florida in 1991 for her residency at the University of South Florida. After completing her residency in Otolaryngology she entered private practice, first in St. Petersburg and then Tampa. In 2015 she made the decision to retire, but after two years of retirement she returned to work and has joined Scotch Institute of Ear, Nose and Throat. She is married with two children and is active in the Tampa Bay community as a member of the Krewe of Grace O’Malley. Dr. Seper has been providing exceptional ENT care for the residents of the Tampa area for over 20 years. She looks forward to caring for you and your family.

Dr Seper was my doctor back on 2009 and she performed a Total Thyroidectomy on me for Goiter. Initially it was suppose to be a partial but she changed it to a Total the day of the procedure. Nevertheless , as a result of the surgery my Laryngeal nerve was severed in the process which left me with Bilateral Vocal chord Paralysis and Permanent Stridor. She consistently told me at every follow-up visit that it was going to get better when she knew that it wasn't and she never really just owned up to what she did! It changed my life forever. I'm short of breath all the time and my voice is minimal but mostly hoarse. She may know what she is doing now but she definitely did not know 14 years ago! I just really did not like being lied to or pacified when she knew the actually truth of what had occurred! Shame on you Dr Seper!!
