I was unbelievably impressed with the thoroughness of my first visit with Dr. Ratkovec. It was nearly two hours long, and she genuinely listened to the scope of my medical history. Nothing was trivial or pushed aside. She listened to my concern that I was having increasingly frequent runs of tachycardia, as well as recent diagnoses (hypothyroidism). We talked about how it seemed that very early in the morning or late in the afternoon (about 10-11 hours after my last dosage was taken), the tachycardia was setting in. It was as simple as a change in the formulation of the medication I was taking already, and the problem hasn't returned in four months. I am very, very pleased with Dr. Ratkovec because she listens to her patients, and doesn't dismiss what we're telling her.
