She went above and beyond in helping my child. We drove 3 hrs each appointment to see her, but hesitant to find anybody else closer to us.

Dr. Lennon spent a significant amount of time of every visit (4-5) insisting that my daughter was anorexic and that eating would solve her problems. Even though I informed her that my daughter ate significantly more than the average person on a daily basis and was not bulimic either. In fact, her hunger was insatiable. Many tests were ordered, including a genetics test (without me being informed a genetics test was being ordered - costing me over $2,000). After approximately 4 months of visits / tests, she basically still said nothing was wrong, except that she needed to gain weight. My main complaints are: 1) is that she did not inform me of the expensive test. She did say it would probably not find anything, but she wanted to run it anyway. If that was the case, I would have opted not to have the test and not spend $2,000, and 2) Believe your patients when they tell you something over and over (like, I am not anorexic). Dr. Lennon then "gave up" without any guidance - like referring us to a Doctor that could possibly help since she couldn't. As it turns out, my daughter has various auto-immune issues reeking havoc with her sleep, weight, etc. (I guess Dr. Lennon knows zero about auto-immune diseases, which a large number of the population has, - in fact, she did not even mention it????, but instead chose to run a $2,000 test that was a VERY VERY REMOTE possibility ). Luckily, we now have a doctor that specializes in auto-immune diseases. I guess I have learned a lot about being a health care consumer, BUT I think it was very wrong of Dr. Lennon to order genetics tests without letting me (the financial responsible party) know so that insurance coverage should have been checked. BE VERY CAREFUL, check all tests ordered by Dr. Lennon and know in advance if they are covered by your insurance.
