Dr. Doty is an exceptioanally fine dentist backed by an exception staff. I felt compelled to write this review because I am a dental phobic who has had the good fortune to find a dentist I can go to without bolting in a panic attack. Until I needed a filing a year ago, I could not go into any dentist’s waiting room with loss of equilibrium, fuzzy vision, rapid heart rate, and everything else that goes with panic attack. But this experience was different. Dr. Doty seemed to know what I was experiencing. He talked me through the procedure as though I were doing it. Being able to visualize each step calmed me and gave me something to focus on other than expiring. Since that day, for the first time in many years I kept the six-month appointment and walked in like a normal person. Today I needed another filling. I was probably breathing a little faster than usual, my hands were a little sweaty, but that was the extent of it. Again Dr. Doty took time to describe what he was going to do and then kept me abreast throughout. Specifically, this doctor has gentle, sure hands. He is compassionate. He is very, very good at what he does. If you have difficulty keeping a dental appointment, try Dr. Doty. You will keep all your appointments.
