I was lucky to be a patient of Dr. Green's in New York City 20 years ago! I come from a family of orthodontists, dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants and office receptionists. Prior to being a patient of Dr. Green's, I had been treated by the same dentist for my entire life, hand picked by my family. There was no Google at the time but my family…investigated. He had all the right credentials and then some. There was never really any pain, his work was always impeccable (and of course looked over by various members of my family...), and after he left Manhattan I'm ashamed to say I ignored my dental care for some time. I had one appointment with someone who had moved into his space or taken over his practice, and let's just say...well, let's not. When I finally did find another dentist I experienced pain like I have never experienced before. felt that horrible work was actually deforming my teeth, and to this day I have never found a good dentist to replace him. Now he has 20 more years of experience!!! All I can say is Michigan is lucky. You have no idea how amazing of a dentist you have available to you. You might have an appointment with him and say to yourself "He's great.", but I'm here to tell you, you are luckier than you realize. He's worked on some of the most famous opera singers in the world, and thank goodness because who wants to look into somebody's mouth when they're hitting those high notes and see a mouth in terrible shape! It's funny that I come across this review page now as I have an appointment with a mediocre dentist this week. I would imagine his new private practice is incredibly busy, but I assure you, he's worth the wait. I noticed someone complaining on this page that their appointment needed to be rescheduled. It's not well written and I don't even necessarily understand what was meant in the comment, however any dentist in demand is going to have a challenging schedule. Those in the know get it, and those in the know are probably clients of Doctor Green! It doesn't hurt that he has a great personality and is very funny. :)
If it doesn't get better soon I might have to fly to Michigan when I need dental care.

I was treated several times by Dr. Ivan L. Green at Great Expressions in Farmington Hills. I needed a crown replacement ( the old one had worn out, no doubt from age and abuse) and I needed a replacement for a crown that had fallen off (no doubt for the same reasons). Both of the mentioned crowns were 20+ years old. I was a bit apprehensive as my previous dentist had gone on maternity leave and I had confidence in her. There was nothing to worry about; Dr. Green is very knowledgable and has great, steady hands. Now I need dental care again and that is how I stumbled on this site, looking for Dr. Green now that he wasn't at that Great Expressions place. I am happy to have located him and am about to make an appointment.

Unprofessional staff. Called 30 minutes to scheduled appointment and said that they needed to reschedule. Would not reccomend due to the customer service in the office.
