I broke my foot in 4 places in August 2011 & while I didn't need emergency surgery that night the ER did refer me to Dr. Sloboda. His office called me the next morning and he saw me the following Monday. The ER had only found 3 breaks, but their was a 4th that they'd missed. While other reviewers are right about wait time, you may wait for hours that's true, it's because he takes time with each patient. He took the time to sit with me and explain the entire procedure from beginning to end. Recovery time was about 3 months and every time he saw me he cared just as much as the first. By no fault of his or mine the scar tissue in my foot loosened up and the tendon started to jump over the screw head and cause damage. He had to do another surgery to remove it & again took the time to explain and be compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone if you're in need of a great ortho doctor. OrthoCarolina on the other hand loves to nickle and dime you but that's not Dr. Sloboda's doing.

Dr. Sloboda performed emergency surgery on my hand on a Sunday after a near total amputation. I found him compassionate, skilled and interested in my well being. Putting my hand back together has been no easy task, but I have it, largely thanks to him.

Dr. Sloboda has now done total knee replacements on both of my knees (not at the same time) two different surgeries. In both surgeries I found both the pre-surgery and post-surgery care to be excellent. This Dr. will listen to both you the patient and the hospital nurses during recovery. He does take time with you and his bedside manner is terrific. I would highly recommend this physician to anyone who is in need of a knee replacement. I am 100% satisfied with his skill as a surgeon and his knowledge of pain management. I can not thank this man enough he is wonderful.

Very friendly staff and doctor was knowledgeable. Wait time was ridiculous though! Waited almost two hours before we were ever seen.

Went to this guy after falling off a 13' ladder. He said I cracked my Fibula at my ankle, and had 2-3 sprains in that ankle. He wanted me to wear my "moon boot" for 3-4 weeks, but start putting weight on the ankle in 2-3 weeks. He acted like he didn't have time for me, and was even hesitant about giving me anything for the pain. My ankle looked like a pregnant grape, and the pain was unbelievable. He said come back in 6 weeks. After 2 weeks of trying to walk on it, with no improvement in looks or pain, I wanted a second opinion. I went to another doctor, who did an MRI and more x-rays. This one said I had a verticle crack in my Talus bone, and should NEVER have been bearing weight on it. He also said I had a broken little toe, and several ripped ligaments, which all would take about 4 months to heal. I got the impression that Dr. Sloboda was only interested in your money, and cranking out patients as fast as he could. I will NEVER go back there again!
