Didn’t seem to care about my injury and was in a hurry to move on. I left with no answers as to why I was told see him. Seems to favour / engage with younger female patients.

Dr. Dooley operated on my 7 year old who broke her femur. In pre-op he was cracking “dad jokes” with her and doing everything in his power to calm her nerves. He visited every morning while we were in hospital and has amazing bedside manner. I’m so grateful that he happened to be the on-call ortho when my daughters accident happened.

Had serious skin and muscle injury to my ankle due to motorcycle falling on my foot while loading it on the ramp with motor running and the tire spun on ankle at speed. Taken to hospital and admitted. They called an Orthopaedic surgeon and that was the first time aI met him. Paul assess the injury, explained what he needed to do and within a couple of hours I was in the O.R. and the operation was completed. Dr. Dooley followed up, in person, the next day to ensure that everything was O.K. and set-up the next steps which included skin graft in Kelowna. Very impressed with his ability to explain what needed to be done at present and what needed to be done going forward. Excellent Doctor.

Doctor Dooley changed my life for the better! 20 years prior to having my hip replaced I was involved in an accident that left me with my left leg shorter than my right leg. Consequently having to ware specially made shoes and I might say rather ugly ones at that Also leaving me with a noticeable limp. At my first visit Doctor Dooley said he was hoping to lengthen my leg enough that both legs would be the same length and perhaps I would never have to wear specially built up shoes ever again. He told me if I worked hard and followed my physio I would probably never limp again. That day I heard his words but after 20 years of suffering every day I didn't really comprehend what he had just told me. Fast forward to surgery day as I awoke I realized my pain level was so reduced I refused the pain medications offered and told anyone who would listen my pain level was the lowest it had been in 20 years. Upon my follow up visit with Doctor Dooley he told me to get rid of all my specially made shoes and buy some normal ones. Being a women I went out and bought several pairs. Seven weeks after surgery I am walking in normal shoes and will soon throw away the cane I have used for 20 years. A talented Doctor and no words can express with my sincere gratitude ! Dr. Dooley did my surgery for pilot fracture of the ankle. I am SO THANKFUL he was on hospital rotation the day I was admitted. Look, he is a Doctor... busy guy... not the warmest personality but he is an EXCELLENT surgeon and that’s what I needed. Top notch!
