After suffering a sinus infection I had a case of sudden hearing loss in my right ear. When I brought my concerns to Dr. Bahmutan she reassured me it was congestion and put me on a course of antibiotics and told me things should settle. After 2 weeks nothing changed and I went back still deaf in one ear she proceeded to put on me on another heavier dose of antibiotics. I told her I wanted to see an ENT doctor and said sure but it’s still congestion. I called the office after a few weeks asking if they had any information regarding my ENT appointment. The staff told me it was a 6 month waiting list and to call their office directly. When I finally got in to see the ENT he informed me that if Dr. Bahmutan had put sudden hearing loss instead of chronic congestion On the requisition he would have seen me in 8 business days not 6 months. Turned out I had permanent nerve damage that could have been salvaged if treated within 6 weeks of the Initial hearing loss. Because of her misdiagnosis and her hesitation for the referral I’ve lost 70% of my hearing in one ear. She apologized but it was too late. Needless to say she’s no longer my GP.

I want to sue this woman. She neglected to tell me side effects of medication and caused me countless months of suffering and now consistent trips to my new doctor to fix all the problems I now have because of her neglect. Not to mention she’s horribly rude and can’t stick to an appointment time to save her life. Enjoy three hours of waiting and never reviewing bloodwork even if you have a serious issue!! Honestly I hope she looses her medical license. Terrible person and physician.

Most of all Dr Bahmutan is very caring, and in today's day and age it is important to be able to talk to your doctor without feeling dismissed. She is thorough with the follow-ups and open minded as a scientist should be. To all the patients complaining about waiting times, this is not the forum, Ontario health care system is to blame. Dr Bahmutan will be missed!

Dr. Bahmutan is the best doctor ... she is very knowledgeable, thorough and easy to talk to. I'd give her more five stars if I could.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Bahmutan—wait times can be long, but that’s outside her control for most part.

She is always rushing, never punctual. She has dozens of patients every day so she never seems to be paying attention.

Dr Bahmutan has been my doctor for a number of years. I have to say that yes, she does speak fast and at times might be hurried but she is an absolutely fantastic doctor. She spends the time to listen to your concerns and has really been a huge support for me in helping me address some health issues I've been grappling with and referring me to others when necessary. She's waited for me when I'm running late and has taken the time to have telephone conversations or even have her staff contact me to call me in for an appointment. Given she knows my tendency to panic she will even tell the receptionist calling me to start off with, 'it's nothing serious...but Dr B would like to see you'. Have we had differences of opinions? Absolutely. But for me, I like to have a doctor that is warm, welcoming and treats me like we're family. She's not afraid to tell me the hard truths and at the end of it all, I know she cares.
