Dr. Taylor and his staff were very professional. Dr. Taylor took the time to explain what was going on. So thankful that I found this office.

The vision exam was conducted by a tech and took 10 minutes. Dr Taylor spent 15 minutes testing for Glaucoma , and cataracts.--said everything looks good and got up to leave. When I asked him if he was going to check my vision he told me that part of the exam was finished--"my techs do that". When I got my new prescription , I couldn't see either with the near or middle progression . When I returned for a second consultation because I felt I had not received a good Dr Taylor informed me that I had the beginnings of cataracts and could not expect to see 20-20. This was after I had spent $375 on lenses which I can't see out of. No remedy was offered. I'll have to start again with another doc. No one in his office seemed interested in customer service or satisfaction. An expensive mistake.

Dr. Taylor has provided excellent care and advise for several years including recently removing my cataracts and implanting Crystalens. I now do not have to wear glasses except readers if I am doing a lot of intentsive reading.

I give Dr Taylor a 10. My eye surgery went very smooth, and the recovery time was minimal. Excellent Doctor and great staff.

Dr. Taylor was wonderful. I had detached retina surgery that resulted in a major cataract. Dr. Taylor and his staff were concerned about my questions and fear of Doctor's and offices. They were very knowledgeable and took extreme care of my eye and removed the cataract. I appreciated the helpful video's and patience he and his staff took, while I was deciding what to do about my failing eyesight. After the Surgery, I then had high pressure in my eye. Dr. Taylor and his staff called and had me back in the office asap to take care of the high pressure, which after eye drops and a few days lowered. I would definitely recommend Dr. C. Tobin Taylor to anyone with eye issues in the Knoxville, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg area. Sincerely Brenda Smith, Sevierville, Tn

I had two cataract surgeries performed with Crystalens implants and I am overjoyed with the outcome! I now have 20/20 vision and can read without reading glasses except on very rare occasions. My insurance did not cover this type of lens.

Biography

A fondness for the area brought Dr. Taylor and his family to the mountains of East Tennessee in 1998. Today, Dr. Taylor commonly treats patients for age-related eye disease and other general Ophthalmological disorders. He performs Cataract Microsurgery and treats patients for a variety of eye diseases like Glaucoma and Dry Eyes, as well as those related to his subspecialties of Cosmetic Eye Surgery and Neuro-Ophthalmology. "I particularly like the challenging cases," says Taylor. "Maybe they've seen other doctors and just haven't found the answers. Maybe they have a chronic disease. I give them my full attention and my best effort to help them, even if it's just to make them feel satisfied that everything is appropriately taken care of." Dr. Taylor practices in four of the five CCTH offices--Knoxville, Sevierville, Maryville and LaFollette--so he gets to meet people from all over East Tennessee.
