Great doctor. Always helpful, knowledgeable and really genuinely cares for his patients.

I have been seeing Dr. DeBeer for 5 yrs and he has always been wonderful with me. When I get my results back and wanted to see my specialist even though the results said nothing was wrong. He believed me. I had cancer and he has always sat and listens to me and all my concerns and he always helps me to understand. He takes time with you. and treats you as a human, not just a patient.

Very calm and mild-mannered physician. I immediately feel better when I enter his office, he usually has classical music playing on a record machine. He makes me feel listened to, as he engages in conversation about your symptoms. I might come in for one issue, but he will take the time to see if anything else is necessary. For example I was in for something and he said, oh it is time for your mammogram screening. My only complaint about him is that he is too busy.

Wish I had never started seeing him when I moved here from Kelowna. He acts like he's on your side and will get to the bottom of things then forgets all about you the next time. NEVER see him if you need to apply for Disability! (Or WCB etc) He said he'd help fill out the papers then when you have papers he back peddles and makes a mess of your claim by marking down that your condition is moderate when it's severe, and likely to last 1-3 months when you've been unable to work due to these conditions for 3 years already and are waiting for MRIs and specialist appointments.
Worst Doctor in Cowichan Valley.
He had my Mom convinced she had cancer then when she's in a panic says. Oh, no it was nothing. Then scared her about a different cancer, only to be nothing again.
He doesn't take the time to go through your files. To busy being pompous and listening to Nana Mouskouri records to give a damn I suppose. He's also afraid of filling any legal forms in a way that shows you have anything other than a short term illness. Pathetic. I'm done with this idiot.

Dr.Debeers is professional and knowledgable , cannot say same for receptionist. Triage skills lacking, being made to wait 2 hours to be seen when one has an agonizing UTI not good.

I have seen him several times in a walk-in clinic. He is very thorough. When I come in with a specific problem he still considers other issues. He isn't a one visit - one problem doctor. He never makes me feel I have to rush.
Calm, relaxed. Asks questions.
