I saw this doctor in the emergency room at SGH. He is an incredibly knowledgeable individual who was extremely caring and very personable. My only regret is, he's not our family doctor!

Amazing doctor who saved my wife life. Seen at other hospitals and rushed by doctors saying she has anxiety. I was crying and did not know what to do. I took to Centenary hospital. First I was mad because nurse said she is anxiety and that we need tell her to breath slow. I never saw my wife like this she never has anxiety like this in her life and has 3 children. Very strong woman. We waited for many hours because they said not serious.

Thank the god she seen by Dr Iracleous. He was different. He took time to listen to me and treated her with respect. It only took him few minute and he looked shock and said right away something not make senses. He called nurse to take to brain scan fast.

She has big bleed in brain and he quickly called down town hospital and ambulance took us to surgery. My wife is now live because Dr Iracleous. My children have mother because of him. God always bless you!

Friendly, soft spoken, patient and attentive, could not ask for more in a doctor. Would be glad to have him as our family physician.

The extremely long wait to see him is not his fault, once I was called into the emergency room, I was looked after expeditiously.

The most patient and understanding Doctor I have ever dealt with. Very calming,confident and knowledgeable. He took me from a state of fear and panic to calm and relaxed with a wave of his pen like a magic wand. I wish you all the best and God Bless kind caring and giving people like you.

My family (children, husband and parents) saw this Dr. Iracleous at emergency department over a long period of time. He was always right on the diagnosis. There should be more doctors like him. Very happy with his level of knowledge.

The ER doctor (Dr. Peter Iracleus) was super nice. My most favorite attribute of him was that he showed a lot of humility. Not at once did I ever feel that he was acting superior to me because he was a doctor. Even when I asked him for his name, he introduced me by his first name. I also really appreciated how he patiently listened to all my questions and encouraged me to ask questions as well – I was very happy he did this since it was important for me to know how I can best take care of my injury after I leave the ER.

I was also very impressed with how knowledgeable he was. I come to realize how important competency is for a doctor. Soft skills does not compensate for knowledge and knowledge does not compensate for soft skills. He thoroughly answered all my questions which made me feel cared for. He even showed me how to read a CT scan which I very much appreciated. As someone with some medical knowledge, I felt like he did all the right things such as in terms of additional tests that he conducted

Overall, I had a great experience with Dr. Peter and I’m happy I met him as he is the type of doctor I want to be in the future.

Improvements:

A few things that upset me were that I wish the doctor checked in with me whether I truly understood what he said, without me having to take the initiative to ask questions.
I also wish that he wrote down what I need to do so I can best remember everythin. Its hard to remember everything when I am in a state of shock

*** What bothers me the most is that there was no handout given to me on how to take care of my wound and deal with the dressings. Are patients in a state of vulnerability expected how to go about dressings themselves. How to take care of a wound, prevent ineection and change dressings is a big task and requires patient education ***

Interestingly enough I realized the ER doc and the staff did not seem to be in synch with one another, in the sense that the same level of care and kindness that the ER doc showed was not present in the staff to the same dgree.

Although I am not a good customer, I had the need to come to the emergency last night. I general I prefer to bring when needed all my family members ( 5 kids 2 grandchildren ) to your hospital because the doctors and staff are efficient and knowledgeable.
Dr. Peter Iracleous diagnosed me and I was very impressed in all sense especially with his character which aside from his professionalism he gave that extra care comfort and reassurance that helps the patient to recover especially in such a stressful and demanding environment.
I wish him the best and may he keeps healing people. Thank you.

He is a doctor like no other with incredible bedside manner, patience, people skills and a genuinely supportive and helpful approach to care. Within our family unit each of us has been seen by him and every time we thanked our lucky stars as we were confident he provided us with the best care.
