Do NOT go to Dr Carson Rutz! I went to Dr Rutz to have him look at a tooth that had just had a root canal by another endodontist. Dr Rutz told me that I needed another root canal on that tooth because the first endodonist missed a canal. Dr Rutz did perform a second root canal on the tooth but it never quit throbbing off and on. He told me to give it time. I called him many times telling him it still bothered me and he said to go ahead and have my dentist put a crown put on it (a crown cost $1,200.00). Reluctantly I did have the crown put on but the tooth never stopped hurting and 8 months later I had to have the tooth pulled. During this time I was also having trouble with a tooth that was crowned and Dr Rutz told me he needed to do a root canal on that tooth as well. The tooth had just been crowned and Dr Rutz said he would drill a small hole through the new crown and that he did this kind of work ALL the time. During the procedure Dr Rutz knocked off my new crown and I had to pay to replace it ($1,200) Dr Rutz cost me thousands of extra dollars due to his poor work. When I called Dr Rutz office to talk to him about all the extra money I had incurred due to his poor work his office said he was no longer a partner there and had left town. His old partner did give me back $800 due to Dr Rutz bad work. Save your money and time and find someone else.

My mother has advanced Alzheimers and I was concerned about her becoming agitated during her root canal. Dr. Rutz and the staff were sensitive to the situation and accommodating of my special requests. The root canal went well, was quicker than I anticipated and I was very impressed with the whole experience. Used DenteMax plan which I purchased for $170 and it paid 80% cost of root canal. Highly recommend Dr. Rutz and DenteMax!

My wife called this facility and spoke with their staff and explained her situation. She was told that she first needed to visit a non-specialist to ensure she actually needed endodontic work completed. She visited, paid for an appointment, and got all the paperwork needed to visit the specialists at this clinic. Upon arriving at this clinic she was not informed of any fees or costs despite directly asking about them. She was pulled into the back and given x-rays despite already having them completed the previous day at this clinic's request. The doctor then ran a pulp test, which consisted of touching an open cavity with cold water. This test will cost you $50.00. Upon hearing the total costs of a root canal ($2,525) service was declined. At this point the staff and even the doctor became extremely rude and insulting. There are much cheaper better places in the area to have your work completed.
