Staff is nice, but charges are atrocious... procedure seemed very straightforward, not sure what I paid for...

got all my wisdom tooth out and I had no pain. I was so happy I was so nervous but this doctor is very very good. I was so nervous made it so easy when I woke up, didn't even know that he did anything it was so gentle thank you very much. I really had a pleasant experience.

I had recovered from my four wisdom tooth extractions in about 5 days, with minimal swelling and bruising. Patients complaining about swelling and bruising do not understand that it will depend based on the complication of the procedure, and is not directly linked to the doctor themselves.

The ‘arrogance’ that these reviewers are writing was not accurate to my experience at all. In fact, Dr. Barkin was kind and displayed true professionalism with the way he took time to explain every procedure.

Dr. Barkin is a very experienced and professional surgeon, and my surgery is clear proof of that. I am very happy and thankful to him, and definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a well-done procedure.

Dr. Barkin's and his staff are extremely professional. Took the time to explain the procedure. Was very happy with the results of my surgery and will recommend him without any hesitation to family and friends.

Reading through all of the reviews, it's either a 1 or a 5 rating (polarity).
My two appt experiences have NOT been great from a client care perspective:
-- right through COVID crisis, none of staff wear masks (?until surgery?) whereas my primary dentist, hygienists & dental assts ALL wear full PPE (masks, shield, gowns).
--x-ray taken in a space the side of a broom closet (clausterphobic), and stuffed with office cleaning supplies (did not feel relaxing, private, or hygienic)
--first appt, Dr B sat beside me for 30+ mins, scrolled his smartphone in boredom, few words, like I was invisible.
---Vibe in the office leaves a lot to be desired.
Agree with other reviews - Dr Barkin is a skilled, experienced surgeon (mechanics) but just seems bored.
I am not as concerned by costs, but I AM concerned by hygiene, compassion, care.
Some clients/families clearly get more conversation/attention, others indifference.
Already told my primary dentist that my daughter - you will refer us to another oral surgeon - she will NOT be going to Dr B for wisdom teeth removal/fear factor.

I've only had the pleasure of Dr. Barkin's services when I was scheduled for extractions at another clinic where he goes every couple of weeks for patients in the Oshawa area. He's the most gentle, kind and very understanding oral surgeon I've ever had. I seem to have issues with dry sockets and after bad previous extractions, been terrified so opt to be under deep sedation with Dr. Barkin. He even gives his person cell to use if we need contact following any procedure. Very happy with his work and knowledge,, the best around in my opinion.

I had to get a tooth extracted, it was infected,. I was put to sleep through the procedure, my choice and he agreed. Only way to go. All this was back in June. Now I need to get the next step underway which is the implant process. Will let you know how that goes. So far my experience has been great and as expected,
