Informed doctor what happened for work place ingury. He told me I was wrong. Asked him to send all x-rays to a certain doctor for follow up. Refused. Told me that the doctor I mentioned was for orthopedic. Yes, seeing how I dislocated my knee the dr I mentioned would be the best! He again told me I was wrong.

Waited for x-rays for 2 hours, nurse shift change
they forgot to hit the button to request an xray for me.

After xrays I get put back into the regular cubical... wait and wait and wait. Nurse puts a Zimmer splint on my leg. No results from doctor.. now its time for doctor shift change... continue to wait... ask questions. No answers. They come to take vitals every hour. Ask more question. Start to get frustrated... ask again.

Finally a new doctor comes to see me. He proceeds to tell me that the last doctor "discharged" me (without even coming to see me or give me results) He apologized profusely! Assisted me right away, took my splint off to examine himself, got me a work note and explained whatever he could with the last doctors little notes.

Forgotten about twice AND treated like an idiot. No wonder so many people are starting to pay private doctors for actual help.

This dr deserves a rating of 110. I don't know about all these stupid comments people are leaving. They make no sense. He's an excellent knowledgeable dr. The first one we've seen in red er that was actually helpful and kind and so much fun for kids. My son broke his arm and Peter was concerned that he couldn't fix it because of the kind of break. He called a surgeon in Calgary to get an opinion. He then went ahead to set the bones. Unfortunately only 1 set and we are back here in red Deer for surgery. Not at all Peter's fault just the bones not wanting to go where they need to. We would love to get this guy for a family dr If that's even a thing. Very personable and didn't make us feel uncomfortable by any means.

I saw Dr. Peter Rawlek in the emergency room at the Red Deer Hospital. I had had a fall from a bike and suspected I had broken my radius bone in the left arm. We arrived at 5:30pm and we were not able to leave until 12:15 am the next day. Dr Rawlek informed me there was no fracture. The next day the radiologist read the X-ray and reported his finding of a uneven fractured radius neck below the head. This report was put on Alberta Netcare and no one in my family clinic bothered to let me know the arm was fractured until I showed up to see my Dr in person 10 days later, because I was still in much pain. Today is day 15 and I just received another set of x-rays to revaluate the arm. Dr Rawlek should not be trusted to read x-rays .

I had the worst experience with this doctor in emergency at red deer hospital. This doctor is rude and thinks he knows everything. Made me feel very uncomfortable. The story is a long one but please always get a second opinion when it comes to this man. Even the nurses don’t trust him.

My friend didn’t know she had stage 3 colon cancer. He sent her for X-rays and his comment was: I can see there’s a blockage but “ I’M ONLY AND ER DOCTOR” go for walks it will help with the constipation. 2 days later she’s in oncology for emergency surgery for a colostomy. Thank you doctor for your stupid comment this stayed with me and I refuse to be treated by you and will always ask for a second opinion as your opinion is worthless because you said it yourself: ”I AM JUST AN ER DOCTOR
