Both my husband and I went to Dr. Cousin many years ago. He put crowns on both of our upper front teeth. If they didn't fit right he ground down the lower teeth to accommodate the crowns. On my husband's teeth he ground them right down into the dentin which is porous and has been discolored from coffee, etc. The dentin is now brown and cannot be whitened or repaired. I believe all of the reviews below.

I personally know Dr. Cousin and without a doubt each of those complaints are not only not true, but slanderous. The other reviewer is correct; he was extremly ill in 2008 and didn't return to practice until (I belive) 2018. I will look into the complaintants IP address and I'm curious of who are these complaintants. Cowards who did not leave their names...cowards!!!!

all these reviews could not possibly be of Dr. Cousin but probably of the doctor that bought his practice in 2008. dr. cousin didn't work one day passed may 2008 due to an illness.

I was scheduled with Dr. Cousin to have a procedure done on one of my teeth. His assistant prepared me, he walked into the room, and before he started working on my tooth, he told me I would have to pay, that very day, the part of the bill that my insurance didn't cover. When I asked him why the bill wouldn't be submitted to my dental insurance before I paid my part, he said, "We have bills to pay around here." I paid my part before I left his office. Just a little while later, he left his practice, and I began seeing another dentist. With this dentist, I had to have the tooth that Dr. Cousin worked on completely redone, as he had totally messed it up. A very nice man, but, he was not, in my opinion, a very good dentist.

I went to Dr. Cousin for several years after moving into the Swampscott area. He did a "porcelain crown" on my front tooth in one day, left his practice because of illness, and the dentist whom I saw after him told me the crown was done wrong and was not porcelain. Said it was plastic. I got back in touch with Dr. Cousin thinking maybe I would at least be re-imbursed for his mistake, but he didn't respond nor would the dentist who took his place at the office where he practiced. I had to have the crown re-done which took several months work, including root canal and "gum lengthening." Caused me a LOT of aggravation for that one tooth. Dr. Cousin screwed it up royally and didn't seem to care. I never heard from him!!!!!!!

HORRIBLE! I believe he has quit his practice, but if he is still around - stay away! He did my root canal and convinced me he had the skills to do so. I was in severe pain for two weeks and they just kept giving me meds. I still have pain in my tooth (there should be no pain - the root should be dead) and now I have to find a new dentist/endodontist to fix whatever he messed up. He has caused me a lot of physical pain.

Long story short. I was doing Invisilign, going every two weeks and every 6 months for cleanings. I started feeling pain/headaches (lower jaw) and they said everything was going great, but i knew something wasnt right. I went to another dentist and right away he said I need TWO root canals! (Something Cousins and his staff should have recognized!) In order to get them, I needed my wisdom teeth pulled! (Something I knew about and asked Cousins and he said "no, your fine, dont need them pulled") With all of this my invisalign got off track and wouldnt fit over my root canaled teeth! I was doing so good and every two weeks i was there, for a year, they never told me any of this, something very recognizable from my xrays and cleanings! Money, too much money, down the drain!
