Upon arrival at her office there was no reception in a room with many seats, had to guess it was the waiting room.I sat there for 10 minutes before I called her office to ask where she was and she said she was on the 2nd floor and waa never told that. She then proceeded to be getting right into questioning without introducing herself. I said are you Dr. Berkowitz? Oh yeah and she didn't ask my name till I said who I was. She was impolite and very crabby like she did not want to be there. I tried to tell her why I was there and she said" I don't want to hear it. I kept talking and she started making a lip trill noise, told her she can't do that and I walked out. I said to her: "You are making fun of me, and I will not allow you to do that". I would not recommend anyone to her anyone as she is incompetent, negligent and should be ashamed of unprofessional/unethical conduct.

Dr Berkowitz was State Appointed and made a wrong Decision to send an abused girl back with her family after only seeing her twice for an hour each time. She was rude to me and rude to the state worker who was involved in an accident on his way to see her. The little girl that we were adopting and 3-other therapist recommended parental termination. Dr Berkowitz told the court that Allie should be back with her family. Where here 3-brothers raped her! Shortly after that Allie ended up in a residential hospital and regressed. O think Dr Berkowitz should be put in an abused home and see how she likes it! This little girl was making great progress until Dr. Berkowitz changed her life for ever.
