I had very bad experience with Dr Ragiv Saigal. I was/am suffering with lower back pain due to herniated L4-L5 disc. I went to Washington township hospital where Dr Rajiv Saigal working and he suggested for surgery after reviewing the MRI. He performed microdiscectomy surgery and discharged on same day . After 5 days my pain level increased and informed to same thing to Dr. . In these 5 days I didn't do anything i was completely on rest except 30 min walk per day as per DR suggestions. After surgery the situation was very worst since my pain level increased and started tingling and numbness. He gave steroids for 6 days. After that I took MRI and came to know that there was no change before surgery and after surgery in my herniated disc. I have informed same thing to the Dr and he said that disc is re herniated and surgery required again. I asked him what the guarantee that the disc will not re herniated after 2nd surgery and how is it possible the disc will re herniated within one week. it took around 8 years to herniate that much disc but am not sure after surgery within 5 days how is it possible to re herniate that much disc. He told that there 15% chances are there to failure the surgeries. Hospital has claimed 90000$ amount and insurance company has paid 50000$. Still hospital asking me to pay the more amount as part of co-pay. I am not sure why I should i pay even the surgery got failed. what is the guarantee it will be cured if i prefer surgery 2nd time and how much amount i have to pay again.
