She diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes. Without ANY referrals or giving me any resources to better my knowledge of this disease, she prescribed me 2 types of insulin, made me an appt for a month in advance, and sent me to get some "labwork" done (later I found out this was an Ac1 test). The morning of my appt, which I had to request time off of work for, she called me and says I don't have to come in she's just checking on how I'm doing w the insulin. I informed her that my numbers were lower, but I wasn't sure if they were anywhere near where they were supposed to be. She then prescribed me what seemed like a year's worth of insulin, no blood sugar monitor (which I had told her I needed), and that's it. Her office never contacted me again. My symptoms persisted over the months, even worsened. I called to make an appt and she was booked for at least 2 months. One of her very kind nurses "squeezed" me in. I asked of she could fill out some medical leave from work paperwork for my job, since I had exhausted all of my sick time due to complications and symptoms of diabetes. And I just needed a little time to weigh or my options, maybe find a nutritionist, try acupuncture, do a cleanse. Things I could not do working full time as a mother and going to school part time. I just needed maybe less hours for a period of time tip get a hold on this. My managers were the ones prompting me to do this. I love my job and just wanted to make sure it was secure. Prior to this disease I maybe called off twice a year. The extreme fatigue, headaches, fogginess, and just overall inability to function properly has made it very difficult to make in to work sometime. Not to mention the depression and stress that comes along w not meeting your number goals. Anyways, she tells me in a nutshell that diabetes doesn't count and I told her it does and is even listed as an example on the fmla paperwork from my job, and on the fmla website. She then says well it's your job to come in every month. I reminded her of her appt fiasco. Finally she says you don't need time off of work because......wait for it.... Diabetes is easy to manage. I was speechless! I've never been treated this way by anyone. Much less someone who is supposed to help me and guide me through this disease that I know nothing about. It's like she diagnosed me, and through me out into the ocean. She left the room after saying she was going to look over the paperwork. Her nurse came in with 2 appts I can't make it to without missing more work and said she won't be filling out the paperwork today. I left crying hysterically, something I never do. She is cold, and has no regard for what a person may be going through. She came across as judgmental and in a hurry the two tunes I've gone in there. Please don't go to this Dr. Take your time and do your research. I'm not exaggerating, she's awful!

This Doctor was very very rude I went to her for diabetes she called me a loser because of my insurance ... Her support staff was very kind (I feel sorry for anyone who needs to see her or must work with her) try to find a Doctor who made it into a U.S. Med. School! ... If you find you need to see this Doctor you are as she said herself a "LOSER!"
