Dr. Seifarth is a talented, comforting, and intelligent doctor. I’ve never met one like him, and I’ve never trusted my Son with someone like I have with him.

Dr. Seifarth is an incredible surgeon. Our boy had an emergency surgery that required some critical decisions. We believe that he not only saved our boy's life but gave him the best possible quality of life possible. He was very clear in helping us understand what was going on with drawings and took the time to answer all questions we had. He even remembered our son's case in detail after returning from vacation. You can tell that he really cares about his patients; we'd recommend him to any and everyone.

My husband and I took our little guy up for a endocrinologist appointment at WVU to get established after bringing him home after 37 days in the NICU and only being home with him for 10 days. When we had arrived that morning we noticed some swelling in our baby's abdominal area. We asked the endocrinologist to take a peek at it and when he did he was very concerned and had some of the pediatric gastrointestinal staff look at it. They then took us immediately to the emergency room. After running some initial tests and getting hooked up to IVs Dr Seifarth came to look at our little man and access the situation. Our son ended up having a hernia in his scrotum from some pertruding bowels. With being fresh out of the hospital and new parents to a preemie this was all overwhelming for us. Dr Seifarth had wonderful bedside manner and was so kind to our baby. During our hospital stay prior to his surgery Dr Seifarth continued to check on him and fill us in on his next steps. He was such a blessing to us and gave us peace of mind throughout the whole process. We are so thankful for him and his incredible skills.

Dr. Seifarth saved my baby, he is great at explaining everything and making it easy to understand. Our baby was born with a super rare disease called Hirschsprung’s disease and he has done excellent with our baby. He has great bed side manner & truly shows passion in the children he takes care of. He answered any questions and never left us still questioning, he drew pictures explaining every single detail, he always listens to concerns, & is also super kind and never makes us feel silly for asking questions. He did all three surgeries on my little guy who is now three months old, we’re grateful he was sent to us, I couldn’t have hand picked anyone better for our baby!

We first discovered that out daughter had 3 perforations to her intestines when she was 11 days old. Dr. Seaforth came in and talked with us and described everything to a T. Then he even drew us a picture to help explain what was going to happen. There was just something that made me feel safe with him. His bedside manor was and is by far the absolute best! You never feel rushed and no question is to small or dumb! Since that day our little lady has got to visit him twice. The second surgery she was 2 months old and this final one she was almost 5 months. I dont ever want to go through this again but if I had to I know exactly who I would choose. As a mom you want to know that your babies life is in the best hands and I do believe she was!

My son at only 6 months old had one of the most rarest things happen to him. He had a diaphragm hernia, that his stomach had flipped into. One of the most scariest things I’ve had to go through so far as a mother.
With that being said I can’t thank Dr. Seifarth and his team enough for all they’ve done for him. Not only was he kind. But I loved how he always explained everything he was going to do and why. You can feel how much he truly cares for his patients and only wants the best for them. That’s the most comforting characteristic that I ask a mother couldn’t appreciate more. Not to forget every doctor that sees his incisions form his surgery talks about how beautiful it is while healing. They’re so amazed. Which only reassures me even more so of how wonderful of a surgeon Dr. Seifarth is!

Our son had a duplication cyst located in the bowel that was enlarging and without intervention would cause a bowel obstruction and other issues.
We were referred to Dr. Seifarth and we are so glad that he was our son’s surgeon. He has a pleasant demeanor, with a compassionate bedside manner. He helped us walk through the diagnosis and what surgery entailed. He and his team were so caring and thoughtful; they called us at different stages during his surgery to update us, which helped soothe our nerves.
His surgery was a little more complex involving his appendix and an obstruction that had started in the small intestine. This made the surgery take extra time but Dr. Seifarth was not phased by it at all. He explained everything to us so well. We were confident in his care.
Post-Op Dr. Seifarth and his team were available for questions and were prompt with returning calls. He and his team really made the whole process the best that it could be. We are so grateful! Our son is healed and thriving!
Thank you Dr. Seifarth and your team!

Our daughter had a ruptured appendix and had to stay in the hospital a few days after her surgery. Dr. Seifarth saw her every single day in the hospital, usually twice, to check up on her and update us on her progress and the plan of care. Somehow she has abdominal surgery and has essentially NO scar. He used a tiny incision in her belly button. He is very knowledgeable, obviously an excellent surgeon, and is great with kids. Our daughter somehow despite everything has mostly good memories of this time.
