Can't speak highly enough about Dr. Larery and her office. Her receptionist, Stephanie, was wonderful and was able to answer my initial questions. We were able to get my father in for an Alzheimer's assessment within 2 weeks of the referral from my dad's neurologist. Dr. Larery was sensitive to allow me to discuss my concerns separately from my dad. The testing took about 2 hours, but my dad didn't seem to mind. He seemed quite smitten with Dr. Larery (kept saying what a 'sweet doctor' she was). My dad's neurologist had the results the following week (quite a long and detailed report!!). Sadly our suspicions were confirmed, but the experience with Dr. Larery was wonderful. She was patient, and very very knowledgeable. She not only explained the various disorders but how the tests measure them. Plus, and anyone who can get my dad, who can be quite stubborn, to do complete 2 hours of testing has to be pretty special.

Had an ADHD evaluation for my son several months ago with Dr. Larery and have been attending her group therapy sessions since then and I can say that Dr. Larery is wonderful. She is knowledgable and very patient, especially given that she manages a group therapy session with several kids with ADHD. Her report was very concise and allowed me to get the accommodations at HISD for my son. He has improved significantly and I believe it's a direct result of Dr. Larery's involvement. The one big downside of her excellent work is that it's difficult to get an appointment as there is quite a waiting list to see her.

Met Dr. Larery for an Alzheimer's assessment for my mom. She explained what tests would be administered, and asked me a lot of detailed questions about my mom's history. She listened intently and never interrupted me. I sort of rambled a bit but she never showed annoyance. She met my mom and spoke with her and joked with her. My mom is a bit deaf and I forgot her hearing aid, so Dr. Larery had to shout a bit. The testing took about 4 hours. Dr. Larery explained what the next steps are in detail (report would be completed within 1 week, and then goes back to the referring doctor and then either Dr. Larery or our doctor can go over the results). Anyways, she was very nice and caring. The report was explained to me in detail by my doctor. I ended up calling Dr. Larery with some other questions and she answered them concisely. Very happy. She's a wonderful doctor. Billed through Medicare.
