Dr. Kirtland is Smart, Professional, Compassionate and very Caring. He is ACCESSIBLE in spite of his many responsibilities...taking the time to LISTEN, EXPLAIN and work with you toward your best outcome. Very importantly, He treats the WHOLE Patient, focusing beyond his area of expertise. I am lucky to have him as my Doctor and would recommend him highly to family, friends and all who are important to me.

Dr Kirkland was the one to diagnose me with lung cancer at the age of 31. I have never experienced a more caring and attentive doctor in my life. He made such a horrible experience that much easier. I am forever thankful.

He listened to the whole of my husband's complaints and arranged other appointments with other specialists to consider the whole patient. He was wonderful.

We trust this person absolutely to look after us. This summary from another patient says it all. I have seen Dr. Kirtland regularly over a five year period. He is always interested in how I am
feeling and my activity level as well as up to date on my test results. His saying "I treat the patient not just the test results" has really worked for me. I feel I am a full partner in my care.

I started my healthcare journey with Dr. Kirtland. And, I am so happy I left. Kirtland seems to be a caring person, but he does not have time to care for his patients.
I was shocked when after quickly introducing himself and gathering info, when looking at my skin, he first addressed the Intern with my 'Diagnosis'. He did not have the respect/care for me to tell me what I had. I interrupted and said 'Okay, I have what?'
Subsequently I had a diagnosing surgery, which was conclusive of illness, but not exactly what it was. He ran with his initial diagnosis, and so did I.
Thankfully, I had a feeling and also noticed he was too confident and didn't question himself enough.
I somehow have since clawed and scratched my way into seeing Dr. Ganesh Raghu. Kirtland, had me going a year into an illness that has not been treated. I just learned that in a few short years that I will need a lung transplant. If Kirtland would have dug deeper for a diagnosis and had the latest information, I may not be here. Also, I am a relatively outspoken person and I had to literally go into their office as they would not call me back.

Seems like a nice guy at first but came to find out that he was extremely insensitive. I had a blood test to rule out cancer and was obviously anxious. The results were available in 2 days. Dr Kirtland however could not be reached. He made me wait 6 days to find out that my results were negative. He referred me to a specialist and has never followed up with me since. This guy doesn't give a crap about his patients.
