We have seen doctors at Christ Hospital for years. They are phenomenal in every way.
Until…I was referred to Dr. Godby. There is not a positive remark I can make about him. The people at the front desk were unfriendly and abrupt.
The nurse or assistant I saw for intake was equally unfriendly and just short of rude. I was to have injections in my back after a bad fall. When I asked for a sheet or blanket to cover myself on the table prior to the doctor’s arrival, I was informed they didn’t have that. I was in a short hospital gown. When I began to reach for my coat as cover, she reluctantly “found” me an extra gown to use as cover. She was rude and seemed put out by my request.
The doctor was apparently rushed and showed no interest or compassion as he quickly did the injections and hurriedly exited the room.
When the injections failed to provide relief from severe back pain, I called his office several times. Finally I was told to “learn to live with it, or see another place for pain specialists”.
This is absolutely atypical for any other staff member associated with Christ Hospital. We are indebted to several of them for extremely excellent care beyond the call of duty.
I will never recommend Dr. Godby to anyone. Do not waste your time or emotional energy on him. Do not go to his office. There is no compassion and no quality medical help from him or staff. I feel they mirror his arrogance and distain.

He never returned calls. He referred me to a Christ Doctor but REFUSED to write the Referral. I am a Medical Professional and was Totally Disappointed with how he chooses to run his Practice. I would Never Recommend him.

3 times in advance of visit with 2 written notes to dr. I asked to have advance review of tests that I delivered. Pt was coming on stretcher. In great deal of pain during a needless trip. Dr read note and reviewed xrays on way in exam room. Staff not apologetic. Kind of behaved like not their problem. Maybe it was MD problem not reading info passed on to him days ahead. Either way, don't hope for any individualized out of ordinary care.
