I am surprised to read the comments by the third reviewer. My husband and I have been treated by Dr. Vance for different reasons and both of us have a high regard for him. I think the reviewer should have checked with both his/her insurance company and with the office staff prior to the first visit to see how the financial part of the service is handled. Every doctor charges for his/her services and it is up to the patient to determine the way it works for their specific insurance. I can't imagine going to any doctor and not knowing beforehand this key information. Dr. Mitchell tailors the course of action for each individual. I have a seizure disorder which manifested itself during my second visit. He was quick to react and to include that issue in the type of adjustments I needed. He is very personable and easy to talk with and we highly recommend him to others and have had friends and our adult daughter going to him. She has had a serious issues with her health and he has her well on her way to recovery. They have developed a plan of action and it is working. Anyone who thinks you can go to a 'bone-crusher' (as they used to be thought of at one time and is SO inaccurate) once and be healed is not well informed. It takes a period of time to get to this poor state of health and it will take some time to remedy it. He is a careful and responsive practitioner. He and his staff are top-notch. I actually look forward to going to my appointments, not only for the adjustment with him, but to watch and take part in the whole atmosphere of his office. Little things like collecting food before Thanksgiving and toys for Christmas are just two of the ways Dr. Vance shows himself to be thoughtful and active in the community. My husband and I stayed with him through the course of action that was agreed on at the beginning of our sessions and couldn't be happier and healthier. He is concerned about the health and well-being of your whole body and can discuss that with you as well. I urge you to visit Dr. Vance for Chiropractic services; you won't find someone with a better understanding of treating not only the pain at the time, but your 'whole' body health such as diet and exercise tailored to you to attain the level of health that you are seeking. You will be pleased with your decision.

I was skepital of the idea of chiropractic care, but I needed pain relief and nothing else was working. Dr. Vance was sensitive to my fears and was very gentle in his approach. I honestly look forward to my visits as the whole staff make it a fun & friendly environment.

My first impression of his office was how the flow of care was fluid and how Dr. Vance truly cared for his patients and has knowledge and expertise in many areas. Dr. Vance took care of me before a major surgery & still cares for myself &my family. I went into surgery knowing that my body was adjusted and in the best shape that it could be in. I was relaxed knowing that I would return after I was able to drive. Not once did I feel like I would not have support of his chiropractic care, physical therapy and massage. I would recommend this office to anyone who wants to get well and stay well. He is a brilliant man who talks to you in a way that you can understand. He discusses the personalized plan to you before he begins treatment. I have faith that every visit that is proposed is one that is necessary in order to maintain optimal health. In closing, I feel like I have the best care in the world and as a result have a much happier and healthier life!

After a 2 hour waite.THey told me it would take 15 visits to fix my stiff shoulder.I left the same as i went in minus $150. for ten mins. of service that did nothing to help me out.their more interested in milking you out of money.the worst chiropractor service i have ever experianced. complete waste of time and money. Now I need to find someone else.they spent most their time telling me to come in for 15 visits.Never agian willI step in that office.I truly felt riped off and being set up to get riped off more.they told me on the phone I could put the vist on my ins. then told me the first vist had to come out of my pocket.I waited 2 hours for 10min. of doctor time. Idont have money to waste.I been temp. layed off. Dont do bussiness with health sorce of westbrook,Me. unless you have money to blow.I have visited many chiropractors over the years, this was the worst.
