I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Yanina Figueroa. She treats me with great care and minimizes the stress and pain which I might otherwise have to endure! She even referred me to an affordable insurance program which has helped with the cost of my procedures. I cannot praise Dr. Figueroa enough, it was a blessing for me to have landed in her care. I had a bubble on my gums just inside my upper lips, above one of my two front teeth. I didn't know what it was, nor did I give it any thought. I went to the dentist...eventually...and they did an X-Ray and found that I was had a whole in my tooth. More or less, the bubble was an infection which had killed my tooth. The hole was from a process known as resorption, during which the body attempts to consume, or eat, the tooth now that it's dead. Of course, I didn't notice any of this, just the bubble on my gum.

The dentist referred me to Endodontics of West Cobb (Endodontics Associates), and I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Figueroa. She explained that this was an extremely complicated case given that this was one of my two front teeth. My guess is, normally you would just pull this tooth and put in a replacement, but given that this was one of my two front teeth and so highly visible, this would be a bad idea. Replacement teeth never look the same as the original. So it would mess up my pretty smile :)

Instead, Dr. Figueroa tried what is called "heroic surgery". She went in and cut open my gums and cut off part of the tooth up inside the gum and also gave me a root canal. (I think she did that in opposite order in real life.) All of this was in one procedure, root canal then actual surgery.

It appears to have worked! I've recovered fine, no pain, no issues, I can bite into apples without fear of my tooth falling out. Everything appears good. I went in for a follow-up a few months after the surgery and it looks like the gums have grown around the area, which is what Dr. Figueroa was hoping for by doing the heroic surgery. Looks like I get to keep this front tooth a while longer without having to get a replacement.

On another note, Dr. Figueroa was very kind and patient. She explained the options to me in terms I could understand. No problem. She followed up with me a lot afterward, checking on me to see if I had any pain or issues. A+ bedside manner. In fact, everyone there that I worked with was super nice and accommodating. Really great office.

Thanks to you all! Glad I get to keep my tooth and everything is back in good, working order. Nice work.

Highly recommended! I needed a Root Canal and was very scared because I thought it was a very painful procedure. But with Dr. Figueroa everything went smoothly and painless! She made me feel very comfortable because she spent time to explain the procedure and clarify all my questions. So, if you need a root canal, you know were to go!

Dr. Figueroa was possibly the best thing that happened to me! I mean you go to your Dentist, you think everything will be ok... maybe a cavity or two! And then you get the answer of doom - "Catherine, you need a root canal."
So I went to Dr. Figueroa after consulting with my friends and she came very highly recommended! I was greeted by her office staff and then they ushered me into the dreaded Dr.'s chair. I met her... surprised to see such a young and pretty face! She tended to me and numbed my mouth to prepare me for the procedure. She put me at so much ease, that she had to wake me up lightly mentioning I was snoring....haha.... talk about great sense of humor! Regardless to say the procedure went without a hitch and I had minimal healing pain.

Dr Figueroa is amazing. I mean dedication is personified with this Dr. I had extreme swelling and pain today and as you know it's the holiday season !!! She spent her time and patiently assuaged my pain and fears. Her extreme professionalism couple with care and passionate dedication is a trait I have yet to see in the "cold" medical profession.

I had to have a root canal and I was very scared about the cost and the pain. Both of these factors turned out to be nothing to worry about with Dr. Figueroa's office. What is more is the level of personal attention you get when you go and see her. In a time and age when medical practitioners are removed and seemingly cold to their patients... Dr. Figueroa sets a new trend in complete patient dedication and care.
I highly recommend her and as odd as this would sound, I look forward to seeing her for my follow up visit and wrap up. Thank you Dr. F !!!!

I came to Dr. Figueroa Office about 1 month ago. She was very patient and take the time to help me with my root canal in one upper and one lower tooth.
She was very attentive and she take her time when working with me. She was always explaining what she was doing and always had a smile on her face!

After surgery I had some pain which is normal. I called her after hours at a very late hour at night and she was most kind and helped me feel better and even prescribed some medicine I needed for the pain. I highly recommend her. And if you do need a root canal and want a smile on your face afterwards... Go to Dr. Figueroa !

I had the unfortunate experience where my Dentist told me what everyone fears...."You have to have a root canal!" I was petrified. This was my first experience and I was nervous and shaky. I went and had a consultation meeting with Dr. Figueroa. She had the most lively spirit and I was amazed that she was a Dentist. From all the horror stories we all regale each other about Dentists... she was the exact opposite and bubbling with positivity and a sheer delight!
She gave me a quick diagnosis and took a CT of my tooth and explained everything I saw. I was put at ease. During my procedure, she talked to me and put me at ease while she painlessly tended to my affected tooth. Before I knew it, it was time to leave and I was almost sad to leave her and her stories.
The pain following the procdure was minimal and she was always reachable via text or phone. I highly recommend her. Amazing experience !

I had to have two root canals - one in the front and one in the back. Dr. Figueroa was very patient and took the time to inform me exactly what needed to be done. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to really understand my worry and anxiety.
The procedure itself was a pleasure! No pain and what little discomfort I had after the procedure (which is normal) was abated with medications that she prescribed. She was available via text/call and was so caring that I wish she could be my Primary Health Physician!

Highly recommend. Its a feared procedure to have... but you will want a Dr. like Dr. Figueroa on your side. !!! :)

I went to Dr. Figueroa with a very rare and painful root canal procedure. She was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable. her bed-side manner was one that I had never seen among dentists. As many of us are afraid of the Dentist, Dr. Figueroa is an example of one of the most calming and professional dentists that I would ever go to.
She has become my go-to for any root canal or endondontic procedure and I have recommended 10 of my associates and close friends to her medical office. All of whom have been pleased and continue to follow in my raves! Thank you !!!!!
