I met Dr. Lou for the first time last week. I have been treated for stage 4 cancer for 8 years, and was looking for a second opinion from him. Unfortunately my experience with him was terrible. He was rude, and condescending for the get go. I sat in a room for 30 minutes past my appointment time with no correspondence from him or his nurse. When I questioned what time my appointment was, he sarcastically asked if I had " somewhere to be"? As if he was the only person in the room with a job. This set the tone for the entire visit which was not pleasant. I will not be back,

Dr. Lou is awesome. He has given us the best care and treatment for my husband! He prepares on Saturday or Sunday for his Monday appointments and puts the best staff in place for what we need. I have full faith in him and what he has done for my husband-I have no worries if the cancer returns how he will be treated. There is no other doctor I would choose to treat my husband as Dr. Lou is the absolute best at what he does!

Dr Lou gave my father 6 months of living after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Plus when you work with Dr Lou you also get his superior team of support doctors, fellows and other staff. I have never had such a great experience with a doctor as we did with Dr Lou.

Dr. Lou is intelligent, informative and extremely personable. He takes extra time to explain to me the status of my condition, treatment options and any pertinent medical information. He encourages me to be proactive in my treatment, is non-judgemental and has a great sense of humor (necessary when you're seeing an oncologist!). He is confident in his approach, responds well to serious questioning, and always promptly calls me back. I couldn't wish for a better Oncologist!

I don't understand the above comments. Dr. Lou has been my oncologist for stage III colon cancer for almost a year, now. He has never treated me rudely, or like I was stupid. At the beginning of my treatment, he was very informative and answered any questions I had. He even convinced me to quit smoking prior to treatment. His team has been EXTREMELY accommodating throughout my entire treatment phase, and has been on top of things when answers were needed. I would recommend him to anyone in my family, or to friends. He is an excellent doctor.

Dr.Lou is very rude and arrogant. He does not respect his patients, and we will never see him again! Our last visit with him lasted less than 20 minutes, and it felt like he was yelling at us with no regard for his patient! We had to leave. He works with people that experiencing the worst that life can throw at them, and he does not care. As family member/caretaker it was annoying and disrespectful the he treated my family. I will never recommend anyone ever to see this doctor.

Dr. Lou has a terrible bedside manner. Talks at a very high level and is condescending when speaking with you. Each time we visit, we see him or a member of his staff. Each time we get a different story/outlook. He leaves you with more questions than when you came in. However, you feel dumb asking questions because of his condescending tone/remarks. Does not involve you in your treatment plan. He may be smart, but his bedside manner stinks. He is dealing with people who are very vulnerable. He says he is from New York, acts like he has a license to be rude because of where he is from. Very disappointing. He can be say it like it is....with tact. Tact, he does not have.
