I had to argue to get him to call my daughter's pulmonologist. After he did he realized that we were right. He also tried to speak "above my head." Once he did consult with my child's specialist though he agreed and opened his mind. Keep in mind that my child was born with a chromosomal deletion, 22Q11.2 deletion syndrome, so her mornal stats are different than other children. I have spoken with other PICU doctors in my area that do speak well of him so maybe our experience, with a special needs childwas not his normal care. He did take care of my baby girl in an emergency situation and did no harm, although by calling her specialist earlier he may have saved some time and taxpayer money.
