Dr. McDow kept my husband waiting, in the hospital, for test results for an entire day. He ordered the nurses to withhold food and drink until he could look at MRI results that were available hours before. Because my husband couldn't have food or drink they didnt give him pain medication for his surgery for fear of nausea. Then Dr. McDow discharged him after 5pm on s Sunday night and sent us home with a prescription for pain meds. He did not provide any post operation instructions. We found out after being discharged that the closest pharmacy open after 6 on Sundays is an hour away from us. Clearly he knew this since he has been practicing medicine in Loudoun County for years. So my husband continues to suffer from pain we hile I sit in a busy pharmacy waiting for his medication. Horrible doctor! Clearly in it for the money as he doesn't care about his patients but will gladly bill the insurance company and us for money.

Dr. McDow saved my life. A routine heart stent placement went very wrong when the femoral artery closure device malfunctioned and severed my femoral artery. I already had no blood flow to my right leg and he went in and had to reattach it or I could have bled to death.

Personable and very kind surgeon. Takes the time to listen and get to know his patients. Was able to get an appointment the next day and surgery within the week.

Unprofessional and uncaring office staff. All of my three appointments were rescheduled. The surgery was rescheduled twice. Office staff has no ability to manage a schedule. They absolutely do have no understanding or sympathy of the impact there constant changing of appointments has. The worst medical or service experience I have ever had. The doctor is nice, but you barely get any time with him.

Dr. Mcdow is a wonderful surgeon and person. He was recommended by my neurologist and his staff put me at ease the moment I called. They did some creative scheduling and got me right in for surgery. They were prompt and the day of my follow up they called to let me know the doctor was running a little behind so if I didn't want to wait I could come later! Dr. Mcdow actually took time to "talk" to me and addressed concerns I had with another medical condition. Wonderful doctor and wonderful staff I will definitly be back to him if I need any other surgeries.
