Dr. Tate saw my Mom in the ER February 26, 2015. She was taking the blood thinner Coumadin and her INR (test of blood thinner level) was dangerously high, putting her risk for a fatal brain hemorrhage. An elevated INR in an elderly person should be promptly rechecked, but Dr. Tate told her to recheck it in one week. She died three days later, apparently of a brain bleed, according to the ER doc. This info is factual and can be checked with program director Dr. Strohm. The info may save others. Dr. De Leon is my reatlively new primary care doc. Over three visits, I am extemely impressed with his knowledge, concern for my health, and especially the time he has spent with me. He is clearly concerned about overall wellness issues and not just a current problem. I recommend him without hesitation.
