I was a patient of Dr. Jane’s for 18 of the 21 years I’ve been on planet earth. He practically saved my life because of how much better my life was because I met him. When he moved offices it was like a family member had died because of the impact he gave me.

Dr. John Jane Jr. is a phenomenal Doctor, and his staff and team are excellent. From top to bottom his team showed concern for me as a person and as a patient, and they never failed to go above and beyond to ensure that I received the best possible treatment.

Before choosing Dr. Jane Jr. I spent a significant amount of time researching my condition and the treatment centers available throughout the United States. I settled on Dr. Jane Jr. after speaking at length with his staff and after he took the time to call me (twice) to discuss my MRI, all before I had actually seen him for the first time. He personally reviewed my case, discussed likely outcomes, and answered all questions that I had. He is a genuinely caring Doctor and he will always tell you the straight answer concerning your treatment and outlook.

I couldn't be happier with my choice of Dr. Jane Jr. and the UVA program.

This review is for Dr. John Jane, Senior. He may have been knowledgeable, but he is dreadful in his bedside manner. Kept me waiting over 3 hours and then spent less than 5 minutes with me. I think after he became Christopher Reeves doctor, fame must have got to his head. Hopefully he has retired. The staff are even worse, nobody know what the other is doing, and they promise to call you and they never do. The whole office is sorely lacking in common courtesy and has no idea how to treat patients.

Dr. Jane Jr. is the best in his field. I email him before I actually met him and he answered all my questions clearly for many months before surgery. I finally flew to UVA and had my surgery and it was very successful. He is like an angel! My family and I owe him forever! Acromegaly Patient

Words can't express how impressed my family is with Dr. John Jane Jr. and his nurse, Sarah Roberts. They are top class medical professionals. I am so thankful for them. They operated on my premature baby almost 9 years ago and inserted a VP shunt to manage her hydrocephalus. They have always been very punctual, helpful, knowledgeable, and informative. He is a top notch doctor and I am so very thankful for all he did for my family. I trust him and his staff with my daughter's life. :)

Dr. John Jane Jr. and his staff took me in on a quick appointment. The team of Drs. came in and took one look at me and knew what was wrong. Of course, I had seen an endrocrinoligst in Wilmington, NC. I looked up a doctor on the internet and found these doctors at UVA. I was supposed to go to have a test that day. It was on a Thursday. I didn't have to take the test, and I was thankful for that as it sound as if it were dangerous to me. Anyway, they told me they could do the surgery the following Monday. My husband and I came home, went back Monday. I was told I would probably have to stay 4 to 5 days. I was told I would do what they called, "bottom out", that night and I would probably be so sick I would be throwing up. I got through the night fine. I "bottomed out", with no problems what so ever. I am so thankful for him and his team of doctors. In my opinion, they are the best. My surgery was in February of 2006 and I am now doing a lot better than before. Thank you all at UVA!!!!

There is a Dr. Jane Sr. & Jr.. Dr. Jane Jr. Is as good as it gets in every way possible. He is a true gentleman and a fantastic Dr.. His father (Sr) is a crabby old man! Was once a good Dr. . Now he is for the most part retired.( Thank God ) Again, Jr. Is the man and one hell of a doctor. His team is also fantastic.

My daughter found Dr John Jane, Jr on the internet when I found out I had a pituitary tumor, He is a great Dr. and has a great personality, talks to you like he has known you for years, He did emergency surgery on me Nov 2008 , HE IS A LIFE SAVER. Thank you Dr. Jane.

Let me make it clear that I am rating Dr. John Jane Sr. I have been familiar with him for many years. He use to be kind, caring and well educated. I am sure he is still educated, but the kind and caring is part is history. There seems to be no communication in this office and if you try to speak to him about it he denies it. He would tell me one thing then write my physician and tell her something totally different. She started making copies of these letters and giving them to me because she felt I was being discriminated against. In 2010 I tried to make a follow up appointment and was denied. MEG said she could not believe I wanted surgery. I told her that I never wanted it but my condition was getting worse and I needed a re-evaluation. Again she refused. I was also told by another staff member that I must be doing my therapy incorrect. When I told Dr. Jane this he denied it. His last letter said he was going to call me but it has been weeks and no call. What happend to integrity...
